Bienvenida Cuba

CubaAfter more than 50 years, the United States officially reopened its embassy in Cuba today.  I hope that this is a sign that travel bans and our embargo will be lifted. Although the repressive Cuban government bans access to the Internet, I still would like to say to all my amigos in Cuba, “Bienvenida. Que pasa?”

  1. I must admit, as someone who is Cuban (although my mother and late maternal grandmother were born in Havana, I was born in the United States), I tend to view these kinds of news stories with a bit of trepidation.

Indeed, things have been a certain way in Cuba, mainly because of Communism, and specifically, Fidel Castro.

Please know I AM all for positive changes, however, things have been a certain way in Cuba for so long, that I need to get up to speed with the positive changes that are taking place and, Gods Willing, shall last.
