I had a cool friend who’s bf was abusive towards him. Everyone told him he should move out, to no avail. One day we came home to a note telling us he was moving into our garage apt. The last straw was that his bf contracted an STD and they hadn’t had sex for months. Bf took him to court to continue paying his bills. Instead the judge put the bf in jail and had his paycheck garnished until he made full restitution. We celebrated his (and our) freedom at a party house on a lake and a couple of hundred people showed up. He retired early and now travels, making friends around the world.
