Boston happens to have one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in the nation. Local broadcast on WBZ-TV starts with a pre-show countdown that at 7:30 p.m. (the concert doesn’t really begin until 8:30) and CBS begins televising the broadcast nationally, starting at 9 p.m.

This year The Boston Pops are accompanied by Little Big Town, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas. Performances conclude before the fireworks which start at 10:30 p.m. so either get down to the Hatch Shell, tune in on the TV or set your DVRs so you can see the annual celebration.

I once flew into Logan late on July 4th while the fireworks were going off. An awesome sight from an unusual perspective, at least for me!
