This week’s riddle: A priceless 6′ mirror with a silver frame is stolen from a haunted house. The top three suspects are a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch. Who stole the mirror? Explain.

My guess would be the witch. According to some legends, a vampire will not reflect in a mirror, making any mirror a useless object for the vampire. The frame is silver, which according to some legends can be dangerous to a werewolf, so handling it or having it around would be a bad idea. That leaves the witch, who, if they are of the young and beautiful variety instead of the old and ugly kind, might appreciate a fine looking glass in a fancy frame.

A vampire has no use for a mirror. The werewolf is susceptible to silver. So it must be the witch (probably for a remote viewing spell).

It was the witch. The vampire has no use for the mirror, since he has no reflection. You can kill a werewolf with a silver bullet, so I assume a severe allergy to silver, so the silver frame presents a danger. Snow White’s wicked queen had a magic mirror ( priceless), and she was (or transformed into) a witch.

On ‘reflection’, it has to be the witch, as the vampire casts no reflection, and silver would poison the werewolf!
