Boston’s History Project is hosting an interesting virtual event this Thursday at 7PM with a good friend of mine that you may find very interesting.
All are welcome to join local author and History Project board member Russ Lopez for a reading from his book The Hub of the Gay Universe: An LGBTQ History of Boston, Provincetown, and Beyond. Russ will share fun stories about Provincetown and Boston nightlife through the years.

I’ve never worn a kilt, but I have to admit that when I do eventually get around to trying one on, I’ll be tempted to give it a twirl – just like this guy.
Is it just me or does it feel like the guy has such warm and friendly eyes while the owl tattoo is totally judging you like an over protective parent?
I’m so distracted by this week’s Saturday morning coffee post I don’t even know where to begin so I think I’ll just focus on my own cup of coffee and leave the comments for you to share below.
Leonard Bernstein spent much of his career as the music director of the New York Philharmonic and went on to score music for West Side Story, Peter Pan, Candide, and On the Waterfront as well as many others. Although he was married, he ultimately came out in the early 1970s when he was in his 50s. The above photo is of Bernstein and Michael Tilson Thomas in 1974. This week’s men in kilts post features an oiled up, liquored smoking hunk. The bad boy cliche is a little overdone in my opinion but one can’t deny he has a great body and seems to be rocking the kilt.
This handsome, all-American looking guy makes that coffee and bagel look even more delicious this morning.
