I can’t recall if I’ve previously posted this photo but I didn’t think I’d be getting any complaints even if it is a repeat. Have a great morning.

Bear Week in Provincetown is winding down and I’ve enjoyed seeing photos posted from all the fun friends are having like this one of Eric and Jim. I love to post photos of guys I know. If you know someone who you think would make for a great Furry Friday email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.
I love the original photograph (below), but I zoomed in for the Furry Friday post to capture their happy moment together during Bear Week.
In May I wrote a post called Randolph Country Club becomes the Country Club by Mojitos. After several attempts to connect with owners to find out what was going on, I gave up but based on the way they promoted their club, I assumed that it was no longer marketing itself as a gay establishment.
However, over the summer I’ve heard from different people that they have enjoyed visiting the newly rebranded club and some improvements have been made to make a visit more comfortable; notably they have invested in what appear to be comfortable (and clean) chairs.
I hope the owners continue to invest in the space by adding landscaping and updating the inside. I’d also be curious if anyone has been to The Country Club by Mojitos on a weekend to let me know if the gay clientele is still visiting or if it more closely resembles the promo shots they have on their FB Page.
Earlier this month Deadspin posted this article, Athletes you should bone instead of Cristiano Ronaldo, and my brother emailed it to me saying it seemed more appropriate for my blog than Deadspin; I’m inclined to agree so I thought I’d give it the attention it deserves.
It seems like everyone who left a comment (worth perusing by the way) had an opinion or two to share about overlooked athletes so I’d suggest a few as well. Let me know who you’d add to this list of athletes.
Jim Garoppolo is so handsome I might actually watch a Patriots game if Brady’s suspension isn’t overturned and he starts for New England.
How could a gay blog overlook Ben Cohen? I’m deeply suspicious that the Deadspin author has no idea what he’s talking about since he overlooked Ben.
I also have a bit of a crush on an Olympic athlete. The 27 year old Aussie bobsledder, Simon Dunn, currently lives and trains in Calgary, Canada.
So who else would you add to this list?
Last week the executive committee of the Boy Scouts of America unanimously approved a resolution that would end the organization’s blanket ban on gay adult leaders and let individual Scout units set their own policy. However, units sponsored by churches opposed to the change could maintain the ban if they choose. The policy change will become official policy immediately if ratified by the organization’s 80-member National Executive Board at a meeting on July 27.
The Alley in Boston will be jammed packed with guys on Friday as men from around the world fly into Boston today so they can take the morning ferry to Provincetown for the start of Bear Week on Saturday morning.
If you’ve never been or if it has been a while, head over to Downtown Crossing and check out the scene at Pi Alley located at 14 Pi Alley (just off of Washington Street and about one block from the State Street T station). Just beware a line starts forming early so it doesn’t pay to show up fashionably late.
Later this month the NJ gay beach party Sand Blast will take place in Atlantic City, drawing more than 4,000 gays and lesbians. The long weekend includes four days and nights of beach activities, dancing, pool parties, and recurring events, like the Lost At Sea Kickoff Party, the main Sand Blast Beach Party on Saturday and the Drag Race & Hand Bag Toss.
To purchase tickets visit the website: sandblastweekend.com
How to get there: Amtrak from Penn Station (ride is approximately 90-minutes).
2015 Sand Blast Schedule: 13 Fabulous Events
