First Event is one of the largest and longest-running conferences for the transgender community in the world. Later this month the four-day conference which is open to all but designed for the transgender community, will host their annual conference at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. This year’s conference includes great speakers, workshops, and professional training programs by day and fahsion shows and dance parties in the evening for the community to come together and celebrate.
For more information about this organization, the conference schedule (including a complete list of speakers), and how to register to attend this annual conference visit their website at firstevent.org.

Each January I write about the various ski weeks and weekends that are organized here in New England and North America for those of you who love to take ski vacations. Below I’ve included a handful of such gay ski celebrations.
Aspen Gay Ski Week: January 15 – 21, 2023 This year AGSW celebrates its 46th year. This week long celebration is the biggest and longest running gay ski weekend. It has grown significantly over the years and it includes a ton of programming on and off the slopes.
Winter Rendezvous at Stowe, VT: January 18 – 22, 2023 This is New England’s largest (and longest running) gay ski week. Although you needn’t be a member to participate, Boston’s gay ski club, OutRyders, helps their members organize logistics if you’re interested in this event.
Whistler Pride & Ski Festival: January 22 – 29, 2023 This annual tradition which started in 1992 celebrates its 30th anniversary and will offer plenty to do. If you’re coming from the US you’ll be able to enjoy a nice price break with the favorable exchange rate.
If there is a gay ski week or weekend celebration I’ve overlooked that you would like to share, please leave the name, date and web link in the comments section so people can learn more.

I swiped this photo from Instagram. It was taken in Provincetown this past summer by @bearinabeecostume during the Mr. New England Leather Weekend in November.
It is the final weekend of 2022 and that means there will be lots of parties, events and programming throughout the weekend. Below you’ll find who is DJ’ing at Boston’s gay clubs as well as special gay nights, parties and drag brunches. However you spend your weekend, I hope you have fun. I also want to wish you a very happy and healthy 2023.

What a lovely intimate photograph of two men relaxing quietly together in the sun. This is something I’d love to be doing with Sergio but the winters in New England are long and unless we hop on a plane, it will be several months before we can do this here in Boston.
