Kiss 108FM Matty in the Morning

Bob Kraft prostitution ring, Matty at Jupiter spaAnyone who has grown up in Boston knows Matty in the Morning. He has been broadcasting the morning show from Kiss 108 for 38 years and remains the most popular morning radio show in part because of his wicked sense of humor.

When news broke yesterday that 77 year old New England Patriots owner, Bob Kraft, was being charged with soliciting prostitution in Jupiter, FL, Matt Siegel (a.k.a. Matty in the morning) drove up to the spa that fronted for the prostitution ring to snap this hilarious photo. It appears that not only RPDR contestants are great at throwing shade. As you know, I tend to let other sites focus on breaking news, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I read this news story about Unicode releasing 230 new symbols. Officially this is referred to as the “pinching hand“, but Twitter had a field day with suggestions for what this might actually be used to represent.tiny penis emojiI can only imagine how gay apps like Grindr, Scruff and Growlr might react with this new visual vocabulary. But I can sum it up my feelings with this emoji.

Don’t Tell Comedy has come to Boston

don't tell comedy, boston, stand up comedyHave you heard? Don’t Tell, a Los Angeles-based organization that hosts “secret” comedy shows in different locations has been hosting events here in Boston with the most recent one happening earlier this month in the South End.

Don’t Tell Comedy: Secret Shows. Secret Locations. BYOB.

Unlike traditional comedy shows, they don’t share the line up nor do they make the precise location known until noon the day of the event. Shows take place in a wide range of locations from private residences to stores around the city and are always BYOB events – so bring a flask. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $30 for a guaranteed seat. Upcoming shows in the Boston area include:

 Newbury Street – Friday, February 1st
Financial District – Friday February 8th
Back Bay – Friday, February 23rd
