I thought this tweet from Greg King on Twitter (handle: @jimgreg) was so funny I’d retweet and share on my blog. I hope you enjoy it too.

People not born in or near Boston often get confused by a native’s accent and although I’ve successfully tamed my Boston accent (for the most part) my word choices are a dead give-away for anyone familiar with what I like to refer to as “Boston SLANGuage”.
If you’re not from the area you most likely would refer to this first image as a “fountain” or possibly “water fountain”. However, you are terribly incorrect in calling this anything but a “bubbler” or if you want to be gauche, bubblah. See the little bubbles of water coming from the bubbler?
Ask anyone in Boston where is the fountain and they will direct you to a water feature in the Boston Public Gardens, Common or maybe on the new Rose Kennedy Greenway. Below, I’ve included a picture my favorite fountain.
The Trevi Fountain in Rome, which could never be confused with a ‘bubbler’

The picture attached to the Tweet is the same as the image below in my previous post. However, the descriptive Tweet is extremely funny.

If you’re not from the area you may even struggle to say this expression correctly. Don’t be shy, its impossible to over-emphasize the second syllable of “Pissa”. Incidentally, it is also correct to write this as “Pissah” in my book.
If you hear someone say “Wicked Pissa” what they are saying is something is really awesome. For example, watching the Celtics make the Lakers cry uncle in Sunday afternoon’s game this past week was a wicked pissa.

For those not from the area, you may think that this t-shirt above means running very fast. That would be understandable, but incorrect. It is actually referring to Red Sox outfielder, Jacoby Ellsbury.

All I have to say to Research In Motion (RIM) the designers and manufacturers of the BlackBerry is “Are you kidding me?” I first became aware of this funny but unacceptable guffaw when a friend forward me the article, RIM looks to attract new talent with ‘rim.jobs’
Initially, I thought this was a joke but several articles online are making me believe this was an actual site until recently. If that is the case, I can only assume the decision by RIM to launch http://rim.jobs must have come from a disgruntled employee, leaving to take a job with Apple for their iPhone division.
How could a firm make themselves into such a joke? One would expect this to be a story in The Onion. Are you familiar with this story? Is this a ruse or for real?
All day Monday, I received emails from friends who had seen my partner, Sergio, on the local news as they reported about this event / prank. One friend called me to let me know yours truly was gracing the pages of the Boston Metro (a free paper mostly read by those who ride the MBTA – Boston’s public transit system). I’ve taken some ribbing for my choice of socks and shoes, but I needed something that was comfortable and warm so I stand by my choice.
I know that WGB and Universal Hub both posted my video on their sites, which in part have helped to contribute to more than 2,500 views in the first 24-hours. If you see this posted on other sites, let me know so I may contact the person and say “thank you”. I’m still a not on facebook so should you see this posted on someone’s page – say thanks to them on my behalf.
The Boston Society of Spontaneity hosted their annual “No Pants Subway Ride” this afternoon, and on a whim I joined with my partner. I’ve never had so much fun on the T (Boston’s metro system – MBTA).
Check out my video clip.

Not sure what it says about my sense of humor that I find this so funny, but I can’t help myself. I figured it is best to start 2011 with a post that makes me laugh so here you have it. Happy New Year.
Okay, I stumbled upon another very funny picture that I wanted to share. I first heard about this on the Philip DeFranco Show on YouTube yesterday evening. After a quick search online I found this image courtesy of BoingBoing.
I can imagine all sorts of prudish tourists in Paris lining up in the blistering cold to get atop the Eiffel Tower only to have the view of this massive penis.
