Tweet of the day: Bottled water

Keeping in the theme of the day, I thought I would share this tweet from a former Men of Twitter, WillFennell.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sign quite like what Will tweets in all my travels.  Will – I’ll spot you some dinero in the future so you can get that absurdly priced bottle of water. Stand back from the urinal!

Men of Twitter

Each Monday I post #MenOfTwitter profiles of men who catch my eye and whom I think you may enjoy following. As always, suggestions for profiles to feature are welcome.

If you’d like to follow me on twitter, you can find me @BosGuy. Below are this week’s #MenOfTwitter. Leave them a nice comment and start following them.

CSalvatore – This Pennsylvanian, Chris, now resides in Los Angeles and is making a living as a singer and actor. In 2005 he lived out by me and studied vocal performance at Berklee College of Music in Boston but he moved away a year later to attend The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts where he studied acting. Last year Chris released two albums titled ‘Dirty Love’ and ‘The Sound Of This Beat’. You can read more about Chris and listen to some of his music on his Reverbnation page. #RolickinRocker

SerbianDejan – A.K.A. Dejan is originally from Chicago but now calls Boston home.  This busy guy is currently working two jobs and going to school for another degree.  He also has a blog for his Subway Series (you know you’re in Boston when you hear the metro referred to as a ‘subway’).  This guy is the real deal and as handsome in person as he is in his photo – and friendly to boot.  #SexySerbian

MancBoy87 – is a 20-something named Nick Bolton, who currently lives in Manchester UK.  Nick is currently unemployed and is contemplating a move to London. (Good news for the men of London and bad news for the guys of Manchester.) His twitter account is somewhat inspired by what he refers to as his “quarter life crisis”. Among Nick’s passions include environmental issues and volunteering for a charity called Otesha (@Oteshauk) who organise cycling tours and teach people about small changes they can make to help the environment such. #GoodLookinGreenie

Tweet of the day: Fill up the glass

Normally I feature tweets from other people as a way to profile others, but this tweet of mine resulted in so many responses I figured I’d share it here too.

Tweet of the Day: How do you like them apples?

Thank you Tom @BostonTweet for letting me know.  This is too funny.

Tweet of the day: e-Irrelevant

Technically this came in last night but I wanted to share it today since I think a good chuckle can help make the morning a bit more bearable.  I hope you enjoy the sarcastic irony all rolled up in less than 140 characters.

Thank you to @theBonMotter

BosGuy on Twitter

I’m terribly flattered that people come to my blog and read and even occasionally leave comments. As you can deduce from my weekly #MenOfTwitter postings each Monday, I’m also a bit addicted to Twitter.

The interactive and quick nature of Twitter has allowed me to chat real-time with people who read my blog and I have to say so far its always been a very gratifying experience.

If you too are on Twitter, say hello and follow me. My handle is twitter.com/BosGuy.

Social media agita

Does your YOUTUBE DIGG GOOGLE+
Has your FACEBOOK LINKEDIN with TWITTER?
MYSPACE is no longer DELICIO.US and as a result is no more.
Obviously I’m being a bit facetious, but today I was looking at web icons for social media and tagging and it dawned on me how ridiculous we’ve become embracing nearly anything labelled “social”. I should say up front that I’m a huge fan of social media and leveraging technology but I have to wonder where is the tipping point? I wonder which of these sites will still be around and relevant in a decade and which will follow in the footsteps of MySpace.
What social media tools / sites do you regularly use? What social media tools totally flummox you?

Tweet of the Day: High Maintenance

From time to time I read tweets that I feel compelled to share. AdamCooperBB’s tweet from earlier today definitely made me laugh. I hope it brings a smile to your face as well. For the record, I don’t think you’re high maintenance; I think you’re very important. 🙂

Men of Twitter

I’m a fan of Twitter. I love how quick and easy it is to use and connect with people. Another perk is what I’ll refer to as the “Men of Twitter” since there are so many handsome guys. Adding to their attraction is the fact they only talk in 140 characters.

Each Monday I post #MenOfTwitter profiles that catch my eye and whom I think you may enjoy following. As always, suggestions for profiles to feature are welcome and if you’d like to follow me, you can find me at @BosGuy. Below are a few more #MenOfTwitter you may want to follow.

DrewBoyTweets – For those following my weekly posts, you’ll notice I have an affinity for Aussies and Drew is no exception. A Sydney guy who now calls Melbourne home, I follow the advances (and temporary setbacks) for GLBT issues in Australia thru Drew’s tweets.

BostonMo – Need a personal concierge for Boston? Look no further, Sean (a.k.a BostonMo), is quite the man about town; always invited to trendy openings and with great advice on the very best Boston has to offer. Curious who’s having a killer sale? Keep Sean’s handle close and you’ll be among the first to know.

Nice2CStevieB – StevieB lives in Denver, CO and I follow him on twitter and read his blog, http://www.NTSSB.com. If you’re unfamiliar with this witty online personality, follow him on twitter and check out his blog.

BTW – If you like, re-tweet. If you love, follow on Twitter at BosGuy.

Tweet of the Day: Republican Presidential debate

This is actually a couple days late, but better late than never. Huffington Post right now has a collection of funny tweets that were sent during the CNN Republican Presidential debate in NH. If you’d like to peruse them all you can link here.

Stevevankampen – a.k.a. Stevo the Devo is a Kiwi who currently calls London home. This guy is as funny as he is sexy. A recent tweet from Stevo reads, “wolf whistling is so crass. But go on then if you must…” Check him out… You’ll enjoy following him.

MarkGotham – Mark is a chatty guy who is easy to connect with on Twitter. He lives in NYC but seems to travel around quite a bit. He’s got a serious looking picture which is in direct contrast to the witty responses he quickly tweets on a regular basis.

MuscleSF – What I really like about this SF tweeter is his all-American, good looks. What you will like are the random pictures of barechested musclemen he posts. The guys he tweets about are more muscular than my liking, but I like his chutzpah, and I think he’s adorable.

So true… thank you for sharing the quote Marius.

Below are a few more #MenOfTwitter you may want to follow. MuscledRobert – tweets from NJ about life, sex, working out and pretty much whatever else comes to mind. His self-proclaimed love of tacos and alcohol seem to do his body good. I wish I could have a similar diet and sport his physique -sigh-.
Kenneth212 – is perhaps best known as the author of the blog Kenneth in the (212). He is extremely funny to follow on twitter. I’ve been enjoying his wisecracks about the recent French Open, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy following this witty tweeter from NYC too.
ikaikaspace – I first stumbled upon Kai’s profile just a week or two ago after reading a few tweets from mutual followers. This handsome guy calls Las Vegas home and tweets about life and pop culture mostly.

OldManSearch on twitter

Recently my brother-in-law brought to my attention the twitter handle, OldManSearch. This is absolutely hilarious. The twitter handle sort of explains why the tweets are so random and interesting.

The profile reads: My dad is 81 years old. I’m teaching him how to use the internet. I told him twitter was how to search things on Google. These tweets are what he’s searching.

The tweets are quite random both in subject matter and frequency but I thought I would share a recent example to provide some insight and humor.

ZackAcland – This handsome Australian tweets from Melbourne (one of my favorite places in the world). I’ve included a self-pic Zack took from this week while he was visiting Chicago for IML. Check out this flirtatious Aussie. I hope you enjoy following him as much as I do.

AlphaTango737 – Justin is a model who lives in Long Island. He’s incredibly active on Twitter and quite friendly. I’ve ended up following a few people I’ve seen him chatting with on Twitter.

Aeeron – This 20 year old from London has unbelievably beautiful eyes. He also happens to be quite funny tweeting things like “Are there many female artists out today that don’t need to release amateur porn music videos in order to sell music?
