This week’s riddle was first shared earlier this year on the NPR show Sunday Puzzle. Riddles from this show can be tough so don’t get discouraged, these are definitely harder than usual. If you need help, pull in a friend or two and give it a try. Much thanks to Jim Francis from Kirkland, Washington for the riddle.

This week’s riddle: Take this equation: 14 + 116 + 68 = 47. Clearly, this doesn’t work mathematically, but it does work in a non-mathematical way. Please explain.
