Obama Administration responds to Stop the Deportations

the doma projectThe DOMA Project blog, StopTheDeportations.com, announced late last week that the Obama Administration was expanding its deportation policy to LGBT families.

The DOMA Project was responding to the Deputy Press Secretary for the Department of Homeland Security which in a surprising shift in policy with respect to married same-sex couples facing deportation said on August 1st, “When exercising prosecutorial discretion in enforcement matters, DHS looks at the totality of the circumstances presented in individual cases, including whether an individual has close family ties to the United States as demonstrated by his or her same-sex marriage or other longstanding relationship to a United States citizen.”

  1. Ending DADT, supporting marriage equality, and respecting Americans and their foreign partners regardless of sexuality…it’s called doing the right thing!

    Obama had my vote a long time ago! Just more reason to get the vote out for him!
