This week on Instagram: titaniusmaximus

I don’t know much about this Instagram hunk who has more than 65k followers other than the fact that he is a vegan and has a great body.

As one might expect, the majority of Mr. Maximus’ account is filled with shirtless selfies and photos of him in flirtatious poses. The account is definitely for anyone who is looking to up their ‘man candy’ quotient.

This week on Instagram: okaprol

handsome, pinkConsidering this weekly post falls on a Wednesday, I couldn’t resist using this photo from @okaprol’s Instagram account (thanks for allowing me to make a Mean Girls reference – it never gets old).

I don’t know much about this handsome guy other than the fact that we both live in Boston. The photo above was taken in Davis Square – not far from my home in the South End. Who knows, perhaps our paths will cross at some point? I really enjoy posting photos of local guys and have been enjoying following this account for several months now. Check him out – he’s quite handsome and fun to follow.

Dusty LachowiczThis week I’m featuring the account of model, Dusty Lachowicz, a New York based model known for his work with major brands like Ralph Lauren. This Cheesehead was previously a firefighter and EMT in Wisconsin. The handsome 20-something currently has 200k+ followers on Instagram so you may already be following him, but if not check him out.

The account is  more or less what you would expect from a model’s IG account but he does enjoy reading and often shares books he likes and there are periodic posts that show his sense of humor like the I’ve shared one below.

This week on Instagram: gaymeme.heaven

Similar to last week’s featured Instagram account, this week’s  suggestion has quite sexual posts. Unlike last week’s post, this week’s account, @gaymeme.heaven juxtaposes humor with otherwise lascivious photos to engage and make you laugh. The photos here are among the more tame shared.

This certainly is not the kind of feed you peruse while at work or around others who may not share your sense of sexual humor.

This week on Instagram: tomoffinlandfoundation

Tom of FinlandTouko Valio LaaksonenIs is the artist who created Tom of Finland. I cannot think of a more accomplished or recognized artist from the 20th century in the LGBTQ community. His stylized and hyper masculine homoerotic art remains popular even though “Tom” passed away nearly 30 years ago.

If you’re a fan of Tom of Finland, you should definitely add this to your Instagram feed if you’ve not previously and most definitely check out the 2017 biopic Tom of Finland.  It was an excellent movie about the artist and how Tom of Finland came to be.

This week on Instagram: cookinglight

Although this photo is from early May (Cinco de Mayo) it looks like a perfect meal for this week. If you’re looking to add some food porn to your Instagram feed, this account is a personal favorite because the photos are very tempting, the meals err on the side of healthy and for the most part they seem like meals I can make without needing to hunt for exotic ingredients that are either hard to come by or are very expensive.

Do you like or follow any chefs or cooking accounts on Instagram? If so, do share some of your favorites in the comments section, and much thanks to my sister, Elizabeth, for sharing this account with me.

This week on Instagram: homosports

sports, This account is definitely pg-13 rated and its name is pretty self explanatory. The account is littered with jocks and athletes representing pretty much every sport you can think. Most of the entries are of videos with a somewhat salacious nature, which I think may only serve to encourage many who read this blog.

This week on Instagram: flyfoto

FlyFoto is an Instagram account of a friend of mine who is an architect by trade but a true artist and supporter of the arts. This Boston-based photographer takes provocative photos of men, showing that one need not have a ripped body to exude sex appeal or be able to turn heads.

FlyFoto’s Instagram account includes a small fraction of his years of photographing men here in Boston and elswhere.

This week on Instagram: boston.pride

Boston PrideThis was meant to be a celebratory week in Boston. Boston’s 50th Pride celebration was scheduled to take place this week, culminating in a parade and bunch of block parties like the photo shown above. Unfortunately, concerns about public health due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak forced organizers to cancel the celebration and delay the celebration until next June.

In honor of Boston Pride and the LGBTQ community here in Boston I wanted to  feature the Boston Pride Instagram account. If you don’t already follow them, check out their account.

This week on Instagram: fj_alv

Fran Alvarado, handsome, cuteYou may already be following Fran Alvarado who has 200K+ followers and who’s Instagram account I featured in early February. I wanted to share it again because little did he or any of us know how much we would come to rely on the help of Fran and healthcare professionals the world over. This distractingly cute Family doctor from Madrid would contract COVID-19 just weeks after I featured his account. In the weeks that followed, Spain and Madrid in particular would become a flashpoint (second only to Northern Italy). Fortunately he made a complete recovery.

It’s nice to know that there is more to this guy than just his good looks. I’ve always had the utmost respect for those ino healthcare but more now than ever. If you check out Fran’s account you’ll see a number of photos of him in his scrubs as well as many videos (unfortunately I haven’t a clue what he is saying but I can assure you that doesn’t deter me from watching them). Adding this account to your feed will amp up the cute factor significantly.

This week on Instagram: tableandtulip

Table & Tulip is a wonderful local business here in the South End that I was first introduced to by my friend @juliandachille. The account is filled with beautiful photos of flowers in their shop as well as special events they have helped bring to life and make a little more special thanks to their creative arrangements. For those of you who live in Boston, I encourage you to support this local business located off of Shawmut Ave in the South End.

dan roberge, handsome, hairy

Dan is an Australian dancer who has danced for the Washington Ballet Company in D.C. for the past ten years. Aside from being quite handsome, he has quite a collection of interesting photos which are heavy on selfies but also mixed in with some beautiful dance photos and fun travel pics. You can read more about Dan in this spotlight article from the DC Metro Weekly from this past February.

This week on Instagram: etiqueteer1

Robert EttingerThis week I’m featuring a friend who only recently joined Instagram. Robert a.k.a. The Etiquetteer, is a Southern gentleman who (lucky for us) made Boston his home. He writes the blog, Etiquetteer, which is included on my blogroll. If you ever have a question about etiquette, Robert is the man for you.

As you might imagine, this  Instagram account features some lovely photos but the account is quite new, having  only started in mid March. If interesteed, you can follow this account on Instagram here, instagram.com/etiquetteer1.

This week on Instagram: disco_art_deco

While I have no information about the account owner, the description of this account speaks for itself  suggesting it is a collection of vintage gay magazines and notable interiors from an era of divine decadence.

I’ve interpreted that to mean that the account mostly posts photos of men, gay couples, gay porn magazine covers and architecture from the 70s and 80s. For some, this account will be quite nostalgic and for others it may seem like another universe but for me it is a distant memory and probably why I started following.

This week on Instagram: blu.fit.dad

This week’s account is relatively new, having started in December 2019. The account shows photos of this 40-something, handsome Dad of 5 in a variety of poses. Despite the repetitive nature, I find the account very inspiring as a contemporary who would like to get into better shape.
