Jamie Malcolm Brown is a drone and landscape photographer in Western Mass who takes amazing photos like the one shown above from Amherst, MA. If you like what you see here and on his Instagram account (link provided below), you can order prints.
As you might imagine, this account is filled with spectacular photos. The changing fall colors of New England are eye-popping when shot from his drone and make for a delightful distraction in my Instagram feed.
You can follow this week’s featured account on Instagram here, and you can check out previously featured IG accounts here.
Check out this week’s featured Instagram account of Brazilian lawyer, Kildren Pantoja. Kildren lives in Belem, Brazil which is in the northeast near the mouth of the Amazon River. Years ago when Sergio and I were backpacking through Brazil we had planned to visit but I got food poisoning and we had to cancel those plans but the combination of Kildren’s easy-on-the-eyes Instagram photos with Belem and the surrounding area as his backdrop is making me want to visit. Sadly that will need to wait until this pandemic is under control so until that time I’ll have to look to his posts.
I don’t know much about this account other than that I really enjoy following @backinthedaygay on Instagram. The Bradley Showers ad from 1965 is a good example of what you’ll find on this account which as of October had very few followers (less than 1,700) despite having more than 350 posts.
The Lucky Strike advertisement dating back to 1985 is probably the most current content you’ll find on the account which is complete with WWII era ads and more than a few covers of After Dark, an entertainment magazine that ran from the late 60s to early 80s. Everything on the feed is pg-rated but is filled with innuendo that may seem harmless by today’s standards but undoubtably caught the attention of everyone’s gaydar back in the day.
Robbie Rodriguez, a.k.a. rhino_robbie, is an openly gay nurse who lives in Southern Florida and Crossfit athlete, who some of you may have seen this past summer on NBC’s Titan Games with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Robbie’s Instagram feed is 80% workout shots or post workout photos like the one I’ve shared above, but he does occassionally also appear in scrubs and then there are the few shots like the one below which somehow makes wearing a mask not only damn sexy but quite appealing.
This summer my sister-in-law and brother told me about this Instagram account by Tabitha Brown who loves to show easy and healthy vegan recipes. Her cheery disposition and unique catch phrases have me chuckling every time I see one of her posts which are predominantly short videos.
Tabitha’s Instagram account got a lot of attention after she joined Tik Tok in March. That attention has translated into a few million followers on Instagram.
I’m upping the “jock” quotient this week, featuring Josh Williamson, a handsome Floridian who is part of Team USA’s bobsled team.
I don’t really know much more about Josh other than he posts infrequently (I’ll chalk that up to training). His photos tend to focus on his training and racing (like the photo shared below) which is always interesting break from the steady stream of feigned poses from models and wannabe models, who often dominate my IG feed.
This week I’m featuring the Instagram account of Victoria – a Cape Cod native who’s account takes beautiful photos of New England (and beyond).
I thought I would feature this account because based on the small number of followers she has it is unlikely you would have seen her posts which are really quite beautiful and provide a welcome distraction to my IG feed.
This week I’m featuring the Instagram account of Dan Carter, owner of Danimal Yoga located in Washington, D.C. The account features Dan training others, showing off his yoga moves both in his studio and in some less conventional settings like the Washington National Cathedral, Boothbay Harbour beach and the Washington National’s stadium.
His account also features a number of cheeky ‘au natural’ posts. He has a tendency to do yoga in the buff. In addition to running his Danimal Yoga studio, Dan also offers naked yoga classes run out of DC but available via streaming. If you’re interested, you can learn more by visiting DC Naked Yoga.
Based in Spain, digital artist Naro Pinosa creates imaginative collages by merging sculptures or classical paintings and layering them with modern imagery in an absurd manner.
His images, which tend to be sexual in nature, are always engaging but not for the reasons one might expect. I’ve never quite seen another account like this and his posts range from the mildly erotic to humorous; the latter of which is on full display above. I waould definitely recommend art enthusiasts and artists to check out Pinosa’s account and follow.
According to the Madrid-based model agency, Solu Management, Ignacio, who goes by the nickname Nacho, is an engineer who works in the defense industry so it would seem that he’s more than just a pretty face.
Ignacio has a passion for fitness and modeling, which is something that can clearly be seen if you start to follow his Instagram account.
This week’s Instagram account was recommended to me by my mother when I was visiting over the July 4th holiday weeken and the goofy, feel good posts that are posteed offers a never ending supply of smiles and laughter.
With more than 1.5 million followers, this account may not be new to you but I thought it worth the shout out to feature in my weekly Instagram post.
I don’t know much about this Instagram hunk who has more than 65k followers other than the fact that he is a vegan and has a great body.
As one might expect, the majority of Mr. Maximus’ account is filled with shirtless selfies and photos of him in flirtatious poses. The account is definitely for anyone who is looking to up their ‘man candy’ quotient.
Considering this weekly post falls on a Wednesday, I couldn’t resist using this photo from @okaprol’s Instagram account (thanks for allowing me to make a Mean Girls reference – it never gets old).
I don’t know much about this handsome guy other than the fact that we both live in Boston. The photo above was taken in Davis Square – not far from my home in the South End. Who knows, perhaps our paths will cross at some point? I really enjoy posting photos of local guys and have been enjoying following this account for several months now. Check him out – he’s quite handsome and fun to follow.
This week I’m featuring the account of model, Dusty Lachowicz, a New York based model known for his work with major brands like Ralph Lauren. This Cheesehead was previously a firefighter and EMT in Wisconsin. The handsome 20-something currently has 200k+ followers on Instagram so you may already be following him, but if not check him out.
The account is more or less what you would expect from a model’s IG account but he does enjoy reading and often shares books he likes and there are periodic posts that show his sense of humor like the I’ve shared one below.
