Modern Heteroflexible
Those melodious comedians Garfunkel and Oates are back at it again using music and humor to poke fun at young women’s flirtations with bisexuality in their song, “The College Try”.
Note: strong language and not safe to play at work.

Check out this hilarious video. I’m at complete loss for words, but this is absolutely hilarious and worth the watch. It is 100% safe for work provided a handsome bare chested man singing / talking with a German accent is not offensive to you and those around you.
Believe it or not, I think this may actually be a real product.
Bravo France legalizes same sex marriage
Bravo! Today France joined the right side of history by legalizing gay marriage. The debate in France has been particularly ugly including nasty debates and protests that flooded the streets of Paris, but the French Socialist-majority Assembly, passed the bill 331-225.

Gay spouse forcibly removed from Kansas City MO hospital
Last Tuesday the improper arrest of Roger Gorley from Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo was discussed on nearly every blog I read. For those who may have missed this story, Roger was forcibly removed and taken away in handcuffs because he would not leave the hospital bed where his partner (Allen) was resting when Allen’s brother told a nurse he didn’t want Roger at the hospital. The truly troubling part to this story, that chills me to the bone, is Allen had previously indicated he wanted Roger there. According to reports the nurse didn’t confirm the couple shared power of attorney and made medical decision for each other before calling the police.
For those who rightfully so feel optimistic with the result of recent elections to recognize same sex marriage and the attention received from the US Supreme Court arguments in the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8 in CA, take heed that we’d be better to press our advantage and seek to build our momentum than become complacent. What happened to Roger and Allen could just as easily happen to anyone of us – and you’re fooling yourself if you think otherwise. You can read more about this horrifying story on AmericaBlog.
Tweet of the day: Explaining homosexuality
As you can see from the date stamp in this Tweet, I’m a bit late to the game, but the message is still relevant. Explaining homosexuality is only difficult if you have difficulty with someone being gay. So deal with it because I’m not going anywhere, and I’m definitely not going to let you perpetuate your demeaning stereotypes no matter how much you rap your homophobic opinions in faith.
