Free performances of Romeo & Juliet this weekend on the Boston Common

As I mentioned on Monday, it is the opening weekend for CSC’s free Shakespeare on the Common so take advantage of this classic retelling of Romeo & Juliet which runs through August 6th.

Additionally, be sure to enjoy the international sand sculpting festival which starts on Friday and runs through Sunday as well as monthly parties like Boyfriends and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. The largest party of the weekend will be on Saturday when Paradise in Cambridge hosts a huge block party.

Free performances of Romeo & Juliet on the Common start Wednesday, July 19th

There is something for everyone here including free performances of Romeo and Juliet on the Boston Common, outdoor movies, an international sand sculpting festival and more.

Monthly events like Opus Affair’s cocktail social, Boyfriends and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell take place and on Saturday Paradise in Cambridge hosts a huge block party with great music so make plans with friends and be sure to enjoy some of the events taking place this week in Boston, Ptown, Ogunquit and Providence.

In recent year’s I’ve used the French holiday, Bastille Day, as a great excuse to post this photograph of American born model, Alexander Masson.

Bear Week hits Ptown July 8 – 16th

There is a lot happening in Boston this weekend including SoWa’s First Fridays, Guerrilla Queer Bar, a free outdoor showing of Captain America at Rowes Wharf, Boston’s 1st Pizza Festival at Government Center and a Gen-X themed Tea Dance at Club Cafe.

In addition to all that is happening in Boston, Bear Week in Provincetown starts Saturday. Look for another posting on Friday from me about all the events happening for Bear Week 2017.
