What to do this week: October 23 – 29

Lots happening in Boston this week including Opus Affair’s monthly cocktail party, RuPaul’s Drag Race world tour comes to town, the Boston Book Festival and GLAD’s Spirit of Justice Awards ceremony are just a few highlights.

This weekend Boston, Provincetown and Ogunquit go crazy for Halloween with a ridiculous number of parties and events (of which I’ve only listed a handful below) including Spooky Bear Weekend in Provincetown, a Dirty, Sexy Disney Halloween bash in Ogunquit, an Epic Halloween Party, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, a Spooky Glam Brunch and several Tea Dances so check out the events below and share with friends.

Showtune Tuesday hosted by VJ Ryan Grow starts at 9PM every Tuesday at dbar in Dorchester

Karaoke Night starts at 10PM every Tuesday at Jacques in Boston

Geek Trivia is guaranteed fun and has lots of prizes (trivia starts at 8PM) hosted every Tuesday at Club Cafe in Boston

OUT’hood FEST from The Theater Offensive starts on Wednesday and runs through October 31st in Boston

ICA Boston every Thursday from 5PM – 9PM admission is free to the public

Trivia Night is at 8PM every Thursday at The Alley Bar in DTX Boston

Spooky Bear Weekend is a Halloween celebration that runs Friday through Sunday in Provincetown

Queer Inclusive Climbing Klub (QuICK) Pizza night and climbing club at Brooklyn Boulders in Somerville

Hairspray The Musical Movie is showing at The Crown & Anchor as part of Spooky Bear Weekend so come in costume and sing along, doors open at 7PM in Provincetown

OFFICIAL Salem Witches Halloween Ball takes place in the historic Hawthorne Hotel starting at 7:30PM in (where else?) Salem

FASCINATION Friday is a monthly gear/ fetish/ kink night at Jacques the 1st and 4th Friday of the month in Boston

FagBash Spooky Bear is at Club Purgatory, starting at 9PM on Friday in Provincetown

RuPaul’s Drag Race World Tour pulls into Boston , starting Friday with performances at The Wilbur in Boston

Halloween Horror Marathon  takes place at the Coolidge Theater starting at 11:59PM and opens with Night of the Living Dead  followed by Zombie, which kicks off the 8-hour horror marathon on Saturday in Brookline

Spooky Glam Bingo is a twist on the Trophy Room’s monthly drag bingo brunch which runs from 1-4PM on Sunday in Boston

Foxy Reunion Tea Dance with DJ’s Nathanael Bluhm (BEGBICK) & James Cerne will have you dancing all evening long starting at  6PM  on Sunday at Club Cafe in Boston
