What to do this weekend
Below is a collection of approximately 30 events and parties happening this weekend in Boston and Provincetown. I’d like to give a special shout out to the 22nd Annual Mates Leather Weekend which takes place this weekend in Ptown. For those of you remaining in Boston there are more than a few options including FASCINATION, Berklee Beantown Jazz Festival and So Hot Saturdae Night Feverjust to offer up a few suggestions.
Queer Inclusive Climbing Klub (QuICK) Pizza night and climbing club at Brooklyn Boulders in Somerville
2018 Harpoon Octoberfest takes place at their brewery in the Seaport District Friday and Saturday (grab the early access passes on sale now before this event sells out)
Astronomy After Hours (free)is every Friday through October 26th (weather permitting) at the Gilliland Observatory on the roof of the Museum of Science

Ptown’s Mates Leather Weekend XXII Sept 27-30
Mates Leather Weekend (MLW) in Provincetown is an annual fetish event that first started in 1996 after the summer season. Over the years it has grown and is an annual event hosted each September for men who want to hang out, socialize, relax or party with other like-minded people in Leather, Rubber and Uniforms. A partial list of events for this year’s MLW include the following.
Thursday, Sept. 27th
Boot Camp at A-House dance to the beats of Billboard DJ David LaSalle inside, fire up a stogie on the back patio, or get your boots shined by MLW Resident BootBlack Jay Falcon
Friday, Sept. 28th

Register for the upcoming Provincetown Soccer Classic
The Provincetown Soccer Classic XXII will take place Columbus Day Weekend with the actual tournament taking place on Sunday, October 7th at Motta Field by the Provincetown Monument.
Tournament events include the Welcome Party, Wigs & Heels Tea Dance, Soccer Balls Dance Party, a full day of soccer, Dinner Banquet, and more. What to do this week: September 24 – 30
This week I’ve pulled together 50+ events mostly taking place here in Boston. The list below includes weekly Karaoke, Bingo, Game and Trivia nights as well as some events you may not be aware of like Boston Gay Men’s Book Club, Opus Affair Cocktail Social, “Pennsylvania Station” reading, Beehive Live Tribute Series: Amy Winehouse, and Fall Kickball on the Boston Common.

One week ago today was a beach day
Today is a beautiful fall day in Boston with big puffy white clouds and plenty of sun. Temperatures will flirt with the low 70s but most of the day will be in the mid and upper 60s. I’m not complaining, because I really do love this weather, but I can’t help but think back to last week’s final Kiki Beach of the 2018 Summer, which was sunny and in the low 80s.
I’ll miss you Kiki Beach and look forward to next summer, which is only 35 <gulp> weekends away. Maybe I need to book a few trips to Miami between now and then.
