Gay for Good at Greater Boston Food Bank

Gay for Good BostonJoin G4G Boston Wednesday, August 5th as volunteers help inspect, sort, and pack food items for the Greater Boston Food Bank. Your efforts will help local hunger relief agencies. All volunteers will need to attend a brief training session on food safety prior to heading to the assembly line for our shift. Please make sure you observe the Food Bank’s no-open-toe shoe (no sandals or flip-flops) and no loose clothing policies. Parking: Free in the GBFB lot diagonally across the street (the gate will open as you approach).

Did you think they were going to stand by while you made them pay $20 billion for privilege of having a javelin contest in their town?”

Indiana Jones and the Temple of DoomChristopher Columbus Park is showing movies for free on a large screen each Sunday starting at sunset.  This week check out Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

Make a night of it by ordering from one of your favorite North End pizzerias and bring it with you to enjoy a movie outside.  Below is the calendar of movies for the rest of the season.

New James Bond movie trailer: SPECTRE

Last week a new trailer for the forthcoming James Bond movie, SPECTRE, was released. The film which stars Daniel Craig as James Bond and Ralph Fiennes as the new “M” is scheduled to open in the US on November 6, 2015.

Ghostbusters playing tonight at Hyde Square in JP

GhostbustersWhile Hollywood is busy using much of downtown Boston to film the sequel Ghostbusters 2 starring Chris Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Cecily Strong (to name a few stars), you can enjoy watching the original 1984 hit starring Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver out in JP tonight.

The movie starts at 8:30 at Hyde Square by the Blessed Sacrament Church Plaza at 361 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.  More details here.

Instagram, justinick_pghConfessions of a Boy Toy recently shared a blog post recently entitled,  Meet Justin & Nick: Instagram’s Sexiest Gay Couple.  For about six months I have been one of the more than 170,000 people who follow their joint account on Instagram and without fail each of their posts bring a smile to my face.
