The World Champion Boston Red Sox host the Toronto Blue Jays for their 2019 home opener at Fenway Park; game time is 2:05PM.
It is hard to imagine the Red Sox having a season like they did in 2018 but hopes remain high as Boston looks to retain their nickname, Titletown. Since 2001 Boston’s professional teams have net an astounding 12 championships. It is truly the Golden Age for Boston sports enthusiasts.
I’ve included this post as a friendly reminder to all of you ice cream addicts that Ben & Jerry’s “Free Cone Day” celebration which they’ve been hosting since 1979 is tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9th.
In Boston, stop by their Newbury Street, Prudential Center and Harvard Square locations for a free ice cream. Remember to say thank you and be sure to tip the staff who will be working their butts off.

WANTED: Single gay or bisexual men 21-50 Researchers at Boston University are seeking gay and bisexual men who are social drinkers for a study on the effects of alcohol on judgment and decision-making. Those who are eligible will first participate in a two session study which involves the completion of several questionnaires and the evaluation of interactive videos. Those who complete this phase may be eligible for the next phase of the study that involves monitoring behaviors and completing computerized surveys over a 6 week period.
Participants may earn up to $600 for completion of all study phases

Lately, it seems that we’ve had more than our share of overcast and rainy days, but as the saying goes, April showers – brings May flowers. However, there are a few sunny days expected in the coming week so I thought I should share a great blog post that the folks over at EaterBoston published last month and which they will continue to update that shares restaurants that have opened their patios.
If you’re like me, you love eating and drinking outside but unless you’ve traveled it has probably been several months since you’ve last enjoyed dining al fresco. Check out which restaurant patios are currently open by visiting here.
