Saturday morning coffee

I’m continuing with my bearish theme, that I started with this morning’s humorous Saturday morning comic post. It’s far too chilly today to be in the buff enjoying a morning cup of coffee here in Boston.

I’ll post the unedited version on my Twitter feed later this morning at @bosguy.

Saturday morning comics

ADAM & ANDY comic strip will hopefully return soon, but in the interim, I thought I’d share this hilarious doctored cartoon I found online courtesy of @oldmasc on Twitter.

Furry Friday

This week’s Furry Friday looks like he could keep you warm and happy. Much thanks to Fearsome Beard who first shared this blue-eyed hunk last month.

There was a theft on a snowy day, but everyone claimed that they were home. One of them was lying. Who is the thief?

Vintage gay

Much thanks to Matthew Rettenmund who writes the boyculture blog for letting me know about DJMag.com article, It takes a village, people: preserving San Francisco’s gay disco history. It is a great article filled with many photos from that era that I encourage you to read or at a minimum visit and scroll through the images included in the article.

I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.

May this week’s post distract you from the fact that it is a Monday morning.

Scruffy Sunday

Once again, I want to thank the blog Fearsome Beard for sharing this photo last fall. I think this guy makes for the perfect Scruffy Sunday post. What do you think?

Vintage gay

This came from the Vintage LGBTS tumblr account. The author indicated the photo was taken in the 1920s. Both men appear to be smooching a watch and the guy on the right has a wedding ring so maybe this was all in good fun, but either way it still makes a great photograph.

Men in kilts

Here is another great photo of two gay travelers, Stefan & Sebastien, whom I love to follow on Twitter. You might recognize them by their handle @NomadicBoys. They certainly look very dapper in their kilts. You can also see Stefan teasing Sebastien grocery shopping in a kilt in this cute video from their IG account. Which just goes to show you there is a kilt for every occassion and task.
