Each Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, share it with a friend or colleague and see if you can figure out the answer together.
Leave your answer in the comment section. I’ll approve responses later in the day to give people a chance to respond without seeing any spoilers. The answer I’m looking for this week involves more adult humor than my typical riddle, but with that hint, I’m thinking several of you may figure this out.
This week’s brain teaser: Why did the NY Police Department fire all their gay detectives?

Much thanks to Tennessee Tony for sharing this week’s vintage gay photo. These two look like school boys to me. What do you think? I’d love to know what their story is. They are clearly close – look at how they touch from their shoulders to their feet. Anyone have a clue when this picture may have been taken?
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. It is the height of summer here in Boston so this gentleman is overdressed for the summer, but I thought he looked so dapper that it was worth taking a break from all the shirtless photos to share.
This week I thought I’d share this photo of Alex Lederman. Alex is a dad and farmer who lives in Western Mass. He also has done a bit of modeling back in the day. This is an older photo of Alex. You can also follow him on Instagram.
Everyone say hello to Diego Rodriguez Doig. I featured him as a Temptation Tuesday back in June and he proved to be quite popular so I thought I’d share these playful photos of the handsome model / travel blogger.
ADAM & ANDY is set in the fictional New England town of Woodfield, CT. You can learn more about Adam and Andy and purchase a copy of “the definitive collection of Adam and Andy” by visiting, adamandandy.com.

This week’s photo comes from the blog homohistory.com. No information was provided about where or when this picture was taken but these two men photographed in an embrace look to be possibly from the 1940s. Can anyone shed some light on the photo?

I love this image despite the fact that it is a tad blurry. The photo was one of several shared with me this spring from BosGuy reader, A.M.A., who sent a number of photos of men from the 1950s and 1960s. When I saw this photograph, I immediately thought it practically begged to be captioned.
Hopefully the photo above and the caption I’ve shared below will inspire you to offer up one or two of your own. Leave a funny caption as a comment, and I’ll approve it for readers to enjoy.
