Sonic Wall says BosGuy.com is pornographic (update)

Earlier this month a few of you mentioned that you were no longer able to access my blog from your work because DELL’s Sonic Wall had classified my blog as porn. I joked that my photos of shirtless men must have proven to be too much, but I was irked so I asked people to complain.

The logged complaints and Tweets that were sent to Sonic Wall did not fall on deaf ears and earlier this week I received this Tweet and a few of you shared your email responses from Sonic Wall all pretty much saying the same thing.

I wanted to say a special thanks to @MileHighJoe1 for initially bringing this to my attention and to everyone else who followed up with a complaint to DELL’s Sonic Wall.

Le Boy in Rio de Janeiro

GayEvery large city has that one gay club that has been there forever and for Rio de Janeiro that is Le Boy. Anyone who spends any amount of time in Rio is bound to find themselves here.

I remember my first visit to this gay club nearly a decade ago.  In pictures it is hard to distinguish it from any other gay nightclub but don’t let that fool you.  Brazilians are quite good at having a fun night out and if you come to Rio a visit to Le Boy is definitely in order.  We’ll be going here later this weekend and I’m looking forward to it.

Know your (Gay) history: 10 years ago today

Same Sex Marriage10 years ago today Massachusetts State Supreme Judicial Court ruled that a ban on gay marriage is discriminatory and unconstitutional. Opponents made doomsday predictions about how this would harm traditional marriage and lead to problems with children raised in same-sex households.  History has proven those arguments were nothing more than barely concealed homophobic rantings.

I would imagine the fact that the very, very gay friendly state of Massachusetts having the lowest divorce rate per capita in the United States is a very inconvenient truth for those who continue to oppose same sex marriage on the basis that it harms the institution of marriage.

Most Bearish US Cities

growlrI love these unscientific survey and I hope you do too. GROWLR has recently issued a list of their top ‘bearish’ cities in the US.  I was surprised to see that Atlanta topped the list and skinny Los Angeles was ranked 4th — really?

I would’ve expected gay meccas like San Francisco and NYC topping the list and colder cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Detroit all ranking higher.
