Verna + 28 degrees = fun
Much loved Boston drag queen, Verna Turbulence will be spreading holiday cheer as only Verna knows how at 28 Degrees tonight from 7:30 – 10:00PM.
Verna and a few special guests will be performing to get you in the mood for the holidays. What could be better than ending your weekend with a delicious martini at 28 Degrees while watching Verna vamp it up?

BosGuy’s maiden (Atlantis) voyage
Earlier this week I surprised my other half with news that we would be going on the Atlantis Allure Caribbean Cruise January 29 – February 5, 2012. He has always wanted to go on a gay cruise and this is a milestone birthday so with a bit of trepidation I booked the trip earlier this year and waited until this week to share the news so he would get excited about his birthday, which is now in a little less than two months time.
Although the two of us have never been on a cruise ship – let alone this massive gay cruise which will include 5,000+ men – we are in good company and will be joined by seven other friends who are familiar with Atlantis. Let me know if you too will be joining this floating circuit party in the Caribbean.

Anthony Greenfield
This 6’2″, green-eyed hunk caught my eye awhile back on the Definition of a Man blog. If you check out his modeling page here, you’ll see when he’s not on the runway he looks very much like the boy next door.
Glammed up for the runway or just walking around NYC in jeans and a t-shirt he’s more than fine in my opinion. If you like what you see, Google his name and oodles of other photos will appear creating a feast for your eyes.
Out magazine: Sex and Love survey
OUT magazine’s second annual Sex and Love survey is currently open.
The online survey takes about 10 – 15 minutes to fill out. The results will be tabulated and reported in OUT magazine’s February 2012 issue.

Jim is has a devilish grin and throngs of fans that go far beyond the Boston gay community. The photo above was taken by yours truly at the dBar Harvest Tea Dance earlier this Fall. #WickedAwesomeDJ
DJBrightEyes – This 30-year old holds a massage therapist degree but has branched out to personal training and plans to pursue his education in nutrition. DJ has dreams of opening a wellness center where he can teach cooking classes (a hobby of his), conduct workouts and help people live happier, healthier lives. This 30-something from the Midwest is contemplating a relocation. Boston, Chicago, D.C., and California all have made his short list. #Hunk
DenisBevacqua – Denis joins a large (and growing list) of men from Brazil featured as a Men of Twitter. This 20-something is a lot more than good looks. He pursued his MBA in the US and has lived in New England, Lake Tahoe and even San Diego. He now lives in paradise (a.k.a. Florianopolis, Google it if you don’t believe me). BosGuy’s Black Friday
“Black Friday” refers to the Friday after Thanksgiving Day and traditionally signifies the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the United States. As a result, Black Friday is routinely the busiest shopping day of the year.
However, I loathe the holiday shopping mania that Black Friday represents so this year I’ve decided to post a picture of this handsome guy. Now that is a Black Friday I’d support.

This week I’ve decided to put a naughty spin on my normally PG-rated profiles by including three Twitter profiles that interact in different aspects of the gay ‘adult’ industry. The profiles below are all work safe, but their Twitter profiles are not necessarily so be forewarned if you are tempted to follow any links.
Manhunt – I’m making an exception to my own rule by featuring an organization rather than an individual, but before we even knew what an app was, Manhunt was helping gay men connect. While Manhunt has taken a backseat to Grindr and Scruff, I wanted to acknowledge this Boston-based (well Cambridge to be specific) organization which is active on Twitter and their blog, manhuntdaily.org. #Blog
JesseJackmanXXX – Relatively new to the industry, Jesse is working exclusively with TitanMen. As a result his Twitter handle is also new, which would normally exclude him from consideration, but since I’ve known Jesse for more than a decade, allowances are made for friends. ChrisYosef – This 30-something fetish performer, writer and promoter joins a growing list of very sexy Canadians that I’ve featured in this weekly post. Do you identify as LGBT?
According to The Harvard Crimson, Harvard University announced it may add language to its admission application which would allow prospective students to identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.
The dean of admissions and financial aid William R. Fitzsimmons is quoted in the Crimson as saying the move is intended to be more of a welcoming signal to “students who are grappling with the issue of [sexual orientation] or gender identity.” Students may also be asked to write an optional essay to express their personal stories and experiences. 
A final decision on the inclusion of the category will be made in February, but I think this is a great step in the right direction by a leading university in the United States. Harvard’s potential decision is part of a larger discussion within higher education on the inclusion of such questions in admission applications.

deedos86 – A.K.A. Joe, is the first Egyptian I’ve ever featured as a Men of Twitter. Joe is more than just good looks though. He is currently studying linguistics to become an interpreter. He’s very comfortable in front of the camera and has done some modelling (no surprise there). He also loves the water and plays water polo. I’ve never seen a water polo match before but perhaps I should look into this because I think I’d become a big fan. #EgyptianGod
finoccs616 – or “Bryan” as his friends call him, is from Boston. A recent nursing graduate (congratulate him he recently passed the boards), he has ambitions to be a Pediatric Oncology nurse. This year Bryan started a breast cancer charity fashion event which happened last month (you can learn more by following on Twitter, @CatwalkForACure). As if that wasn’t enough he is now creating a new non-profit focused on raising funds for local organizations and charities through visual and performing arts. #HandsomePhilanthropist
JeffChatterton – “Hey Mr. DJ put a record on…” Those who frequent NYC’s EasternBloc may be familiar with this handsome Canadian who works as a DJ and promoter for the bar. He will be the DJ at the bar’s one-year anniversary of “Messy Mary’s Mondays” on the 21st next week. Want to find out more?
