Readers may recall some of my previous Sky Mall inspired posts like April’s Delta Airlines Sky Mall, January’s Strolling down the Delta Sky Mall aisle and last year’s What not to buy.  The Sky Mall catalog is a bizarre shopping catalog of randomly selected items that often appear to me as rejects from the Home Shopping Television Network.  While sitting on the tarmac waiting to take off I have found browsing this catalog to be an excellent distraction.

The Summer 2012 catalog did not disappoint with a series of odd items that left me wondering “who buys this stuff?”  By the way, if you are wondering the life sized Bigfoot statue which is just perfect for your garden is only a paltry $2,250.

Are you upset it’s Monday morning? If you are like me, I’m sure you could use another day out of the office to relax.  However, I think this lady might need to take the week off to recover from her weekend.

On an unrelated note: Is this what straight clubs look like? Yikes!

This seemed like an appropriate post to share late on a Friday afternoon, and a very interesting way to play chess.  I wonder if you are allowed to drink the glass when you take it from your opponent.

I posted an auto correct error earlier in the week and received a fair amount of email and comments so I thought I’d share this gem.

Bummed that it is Monday morning? I’m pretty sure you had a better commute than this poor lady.

These errors always make me chuckle when I read them. I agree with the friend that chicken fajitas sound far more appetizing.

My colleague who happens to live in Midtown Manhattan on Park Avenue loves to poke fun at all her well-heeled neighbors.

While talking to her this morning she was giggling about her latest joke.

I think my co-worker is adorable and hearing her tell the joke gave me a good laugh.  Perhaps it’ll make you smile too.

How many WASPs does it take to change a light bulb?

Answer:  It takes two,  one to stir the martini and the other to call the electrician.

For readers not from the US, WASP refers to White Anglo-Saxon Protestants.  It is an informal, often derogatory term for a closed group of high-status Americans mostly of British Protestant ancestry.
