This weekend head up to Ogunquit, Maine for FLAG flag football’s annual Beach Bowl on Saturday, August 7th. Flag football pick-up games will once again be held on Ogunquit beach, starting at 1:00 PM.
Bring your best beach wear, and the league will supply the football and flags. If you’d like to come up to watch and cheer on your friends, you’re more than welcome as well. The beach is beautiful and the forecast in Ogunquit for Saturday is partly cloudy skies and a high of 78F degrees.
Following the games on the beach, everyone is invited to join for food, drinks, and fun. For more details about this year’s Beach Bowl email, info@flagflagfootball.com.
Live entertainment has returned to Provincetown this summer and both the performers and the venues could use your support. You can purchase tickets for any given show through the links shared in the post below. I will work to update this list throughout the summer. If there is a show that I’ve missed, add the information in the comments section.
August & Labor Day Weekend Performances in Provincetown
Everyone say hello to ROC gymnast, Artur Dalaloyan, who looks like he is really enjoying his cup of coffee. Much thanks to Joe from The Closet Professor for sharing this week’s photograph. Looking at him you’d never guess he’s the Dad of two children. Maybe that’s why he needs coffee in the morning.
ADAM & ANDY is set in the fictional New England town of Woodfield, CT. You can learn more about Adam and Andy and purchase a copy of “the definitive collection of Adam and Andy” by visiting, adamandandy.com.
Each Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, share it with a friend or colleague and see if you can figure out the answer together.
Leave your answer in the comment section. I’ll approve responses later in the day to give people a chance to respond without seeing any spoilers.
This week’s brain teaser:
In the spring I look gay, all covered in a green array.
As the temperatures rise, the more I wear,
Strangely, when the cold grows, I seem to lose all my clothes.
What am I?
Below is a list of what is happening in Boston and Provinceton this weekend. Show your love by supporting our gay bars and businesses. If you have an event you want included, email bosguymail@gmail.com.
SATURDAY:Kiki Beach If you’re unsure where the boys go on M Street Beach, check out the map on the Kiki Beach Boston Facebook Page, but when in doubt follow the good music and speedos.

This week’s vintage gay photo comes from the Twitter account @oldmasc. Just a heads up if you want to click on the link – this is a NSFW Twitter account so don’t say I didn’t warn you! Thanks to the note at the bottom of the photo we can clearly see that the photograph was taken in 1936. Does anyone recognize where this may have been taken? When I zoom in on the image I cannot make out the boardwalk signs but I’m wondering if anyone has a guess.
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.
