This photo is a bit more risque than my typical post but the caption below immediately came to mind so I knew I’d want to post it. Hopefully what I’ve shared below inspires you to offer up one or two of your own. Leave a funny caption in the comment section, and I’ll approve it for readers to enjoy.

This week I thought I’d share individual photos of the Kilted Coaches. I always enjoy including these guys in my weekly men in kilts post and their photos always get a positive response from readers.
If you’re not familiar with these two, watch their videos on their Youtube channel. Below is one of my favorites.
FLAG (Friends, Lesbians, and Gays) Flag Football is Boston’s premier flag football league for the LGBTQ community and one of the largest gay sports leagues in Boston. The recreational football club plays on Saturday mornings in the spring and fall and all skill levels are encouraged to participate. The league has grown from just 20 players in 1998 to 24 teams of 14 players in the fall of 2021. For more information, visit their website, flagflagfootball.com.
I don’t normally post selfies for this weekly post but exceptions can and will be made. Much thanks to the Fearsome Beard blog, which posted this photo earlier this summer.
ADAM & ANDY is set in the fictional New England town of Woodfield, CT. You can learn more about Adam and Andy and purchase a copy of “the definitive collection of Adam and Andy” by visiting, adamandandy.com.
Each Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, share it with a friend or colleague and see if you can figure out the answer together.
Leave your answer in the comment section. I’ll approve responses later in the day to give people a chance to respond without seeing any spoilers.
This week’s brain teaser: What has 18 legs and catches flies?

If you like my weekly vintage gay posts and are on Pintrest, I suggest you follow Jeff Stookey. His account collects vintage images that you are certain to enjoy. I want to thank him for reaching out and sharing his account. Who can say for sure if these men are friends or something more. Perhaps there is more than meets the eye to their relationship. Regardless it is a great photo from the late 20s.
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. The Trophy Room which is located at 26 Chandler Street in the StayPineapple boutique hotel (formerly the Chandler Inn) in the South End will reopen today (Wednesday, August 4th) for the first time since closing in March 2020. Today’s “soft” opening is a promising sign, but the bar will initially only be open Wednesday through Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday).
Below are several photos of the restaurant and bar. While closed, the management team took time to update the interior giving the space a whimsical “Alice in Wonderland” vibe. New, comfortable bar and high top chairs and flooring are varying shades of white, grey and black that contrast with the satin, chartreuse used in the dining room and lounge space.

The hours of operation will change over time but initially will be Wednesday – Saturday from 4PM – 12AM and Sunday 12PM – 8PM. The management team is planning to host one drag event each week but that is contingent upon several variables. Brunch will be served all day on Sunday.
Stop by and check out the newly redesigned Trophy Room.
