The past couple of weeks I’ve been sharing a few virtual events / programs but this week I thought I’d try a more inspirational post.
Be well

Here is an interesting story: People in and around Boston are placing stuffed bears in their windows and front yards for children and adults to look for and find during walks or drives. The movement is loosely based on a book called, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”.
How does it work? Simple – put a teddy or other any kind stuffed animal in your window, on a porch, tie them to a tree, mailbox or pole. The creativity is endless.
While this is based on the children’s book mentioned above, I do have a certain leather teddy who may start to make an appearance with some creative comments that are decidedly not for children to read.
I love this week’s photo. Based on their dress, I’m assuming this was taken somewhere in the west but I really have no clue as to when or where this may have been taken. Anyone care to take a guess?
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.
Michael Herbertson is a bit of an enigma on Instagram in that I’m unsure if he appears in any of the photos on his account which has more than 100,000 followers. The photographer’s account focuses on street photography, candid, and candid portraits. He does include photos from model shoots as well.
Photos are mostly of men on or near the beach in Southern California. I do like his photos and it is refreshing to see an account showing how handsome men are appear without excessive styling or posing. It makes his photos seem much more accessible and interesting – and quite different from most other photos you see.

Oh the direction my mind wanders as I make up stories in my head about this week’s Temptation Tuesday.
I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely stir crazy and missing the opportunity to casually hang out with friends. I’d love to be able to connect with friends like the picture above shows, but with public events cancelled in MA for at least the next few weeks (if not longer), I thought I’d share share a few virtual events that you may find interesting. It is my understanding that all of these programs are free so they can accommodate everyone’s budget.
If you know of virtual programs that may be of interest, please email me or leave the information as a comment on this post.

After 3+ weeks of practicing some form of social distancing and self-quarantining, many of us have turned to video chat to try and stay connected with friends and family. Last week I joined my first virtual cocktail meet up and it was more fun than I would’ve expected.
My liquor cabinet doesn’t include most of the ingredients necessary for the six suggested cocktails but fortunately, the handsome bartender makes my favorite, a gin & tonic. My preferred gin for a G&T is Bar Hill Gin. I like it so much I wrote about it here in 2015, Classic take on Gin & Tonic with Barr Hill Gin. What is your drink of choice these days?
