Judge Judy speaks out in favor of gay marriage
Last week while on The View Judge Judy spoke out in support of same sex marriage. As wonderful as it is to have this conversation on network television, my experience is personal conversations have even more impact.
Do people know how you feel about the Republican Party’s continued attempts to legally prohibit gay and lesbians from having equal protection and rights under the law? It would be a wonderful thing to have the Republican Party make their homophobic rhetoric and evangelical ties a thing of the past, but I’m not holding my breathe and I’ll be using this blog as my bullhorn to express my frustration. I’d like to ask you to speak up as well. It wasn’t by remaining silent that the LGBT community and its allies were able to convince President Obama to support same sex marriage.
Suddenly it makes sense
Thanks to Matthew over at Giants, Cowboys, Football, Rugby and Life for bringing this to my attention. I’ve always thought of myself as a “legs” guy so after seeing this photo of Luke McAlister’s “Thunder Thighs” I was reminded that I need to go over and watch a Boston Rugby Club game this summer.
Temptation Tuesday
From last week’s post of muscle Daddy Shemar Moore, to this week’s post of a a twinky blond Timoteo model, I hope that this weekly post will have a little bit of something for everyone. What do you think of this week’s Temptation Tuesday post?
NAACP says same sex marriage is a civil right
The board of the N.A.A.C.P. voted to endorse same sex marriage this weekend, putting the weight of the country’s most prominent civil rights group behind a cause that has long divided the black community. The N.A.A.C.P. endorsement brings them in line with President Obama and goes a long way to validating this as a fundamental civil right.
LGBT Prom Tonight in Boston
Prom is a quintessential American right of passage that dominates teen movies and is part of the fabric of American culture. Tonight more than 1,000 Boston area LGBT teens will come to dance and have fun at the nation’s oldest annual (and largest) LGBT Prom.
This tradition which started in 1981 is now held at Boston City Hall to accommodate the crush of teenagers who come to celebrate Prom with other gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth in a safe and accepting environment. Want to donate to BAGLY or learn more about this year’s prom which starts at 7PM tonight? Visit their website, www.bagly.org.

Mitt Romney: Beautiful liar
Back in the 90s when Mitt Romney was campaigning against Senator Kennedy, he portrayed himself as a moderate Republican who would be an advocate for LGBT issues.
Bay Windows Mitt Romney Interview 1994
Looking at Mitt Romney’s actions since 1994, I would have to draw the exact opposite conclusion so I thought I’d dedicate this song to Mitt.
Do you know your rights?
I’d like to thank Cole from The Maverick Men for sharing this. The colorful radial chart shares which states in the US protect the rights of the LGBT community with respect to marriage, hospital visitation rights, adoption, employment, housing, hate crimes and schools.
The more colorful – the more your rights are protected (or to put it another way – the more they are guaranteed not to be taken away). The radial is dialed in on my home state, MA, which I’d like to point out is quite colorful. How does your state fare? You may look at this more closely at The Guardian.
8th Anniversary of Same Sex Marriage
On May 17, 2004 Massachusetts became the first state in the United States to legalize same sex marriage. Eight years ago today more than 1,000 gay and lesbian couples streamed into city and town halls across the state seeking licenses to marry.
Damn Proud of Massachusetts
In eight short years six other states CT, IA, NH, NY, VT, WA (and the District of Columbia) have all recognized this as a civil right and legalized same sex marriage. More recently, President Obama spoke out in favor of Same Sex Marriage when he told ABC News last week that he (and Michelle Obama) support the right of gays and lesbians to marry.
Suddenly it makes sense
I’m more of a tennis enthusiast, but after seeing a few photos of the very handsome Rocky Carson, one of the best racquetball players in the US, I’m starting to get a deeper appreciation for this odd sport.
Look past the funny eye wear and try not to chuckle too much at the irony of men in tight spaces whacking the crap out of their little blue balls and you too may gain a sudden appreciation.
