US Open: David Ferrer

The US Open started last week, and I’m posting a handsome male tennis player each day there is play.

Today, I’m featuring Spanish tennis player, David Ferrer, who is currently playing yesterday’s “Tennis Tease”, Andy Roddick.  David is currently ranked 5 in the world and has a game to back up that ranking.

Although Ferrer is definitely more at home on clay courts (lets be frank all the Spaniards are), David’s game is so strong you cannot count him out. However, whoever wins today’s match will have a short lived victory as I fully expect Raphael Nadal to pull through and meet that player in the quarter finals.

If you’d like to find out more about this handsome Spaniard you can link here. If you’d like to find out more about this year’s US Open you can visit the tournament’s official website,www.usopen.org.

Chris Nogiec underwear shoot

Chris Nogiec lives in Boston and is currently pursuing a doctorate from Boston University in computational metabolism so he’s got looks and smarts. Although we don’t know each other, I featured him as a #MenOfTwitter back in April and we have a friend in common who speaks very highly of Chris.

Below is a behind the scenes video with Troy Phillips & Akimitsu Sadoi. While this 3-minute video pf Chris isn’t exactly unsafe for work, I think its too racy to play in the office; mind you Chris is modeling some very sexy underwear so use your judgement, but certainly enjoy the clip.

You can learn more about this handsome Bostonian on his website, here.

Men of Twitter

Each Monday I post #MenOfTwitter profiles of men who catch my eye and whom I think you may enjoy following. As always, suggestions for profiles to feature are welcome.   If you’d like to follow me on twitter, you can find me @BosGuy. Below are this week’s #MenOfTwitter. Leave them a nice comment and start following these guys.

WillFennellis the beauty/grooming editor for DNA magazine, owner of the Will and Peta skin clinic in Sydney Australia, author and blogger.Aussies may remember Will as the grooming guy on Aussie Queer Eye. I’ll remember him because he’s so damn sexy.He claims he also gives “the best ball wax ever”… the very thought horrifies me so I’m going to take him at his word. Look for his first book to be released later this year “Beauty Manual / Autobiography” A story of boy in a women’s world (the beauty business). Can’t get enough of this handsome guy from down under? In addition to stalking following him on Twitter you can check out his blog, www.willfennell.com.au#GroomingGuru

stekallee – Ste was born in Belgium, raised in Germany, but now calls the UK home and lives in Liverpool with his fiance, Paul. This guy has a heart of gold. Following in the footsteps of his mother, he works in autism care. Later next month he’ll be getting married (the precise term is registering as a civil partner – what a mouthful) and honeymooning with the love of his life, Paul who you can also follow on twitter @cheeky2xist. #HeartOfGoldIvanPutra – This 20-something born in Indonesia and raised in Houston, Texas is more than a handsome face. He’s currently in college studying Business and Marketing and a freelance model. He’ll be strutting his stuff for Danny Nguyen Couture in Houston later this month. If you are a modeling scout in Texas give Ivan a second look. #HandsomeTexan

Anyone who lives in Boston and is on Twitter knows and follows Tom.Without a doubt he’s more influential for all things related to Boston than any other individual I can think of on twitter. The fact that he’s handsome and always suggesting food and drink only adds to his appeal. #ManAboutTown

2011 Ptown Carnival Parade

The 2011 Provincetown Carnival Parade theme this year was “Can’t Stop the Music”. Commercial Street started to become a wall of spectators as individuals dressed up for this year’s celebration. The parade was great this year, but if you were not able to attend here is a quick 3-minute video to show you what you missed.

Provincetown Carnival Week Update

After the clouds and rain came and went, people were more than ready to get out and socialize on Tuesday. Tea Dance at the Boatslip competed with the annual “The Tide Is High” boat cruise (one of Carnival Week’s official events). However, this made it so much easier to get drinks and socialize.

After the rains from the previous day, the thought of going out on a boat cruise sipping drinks with 4-5′ wave swells had zero appeal. Boats & BosGuy simply don’t mix. Its like two great things that don’t go great together… sort of like Britney Spears and performing live.

Another great thing about Tea dance on Tuesday, was I had the chance to meet a young man from upstate NY, whom I’ve chatted with for quite awhile on Twitter. His handle on twitter is, biscuittmfs. “Biscuitt” is his nickname and its just eccentric enough that even I can remember it. This morning Biscuitt and his posse are at Provincetown’s gay beach which is clothing optional. I can only imagine how many times guys will be walking back and forth all to sneak a peek at Biscuitt’s buns.

BosGuy and Biscuitt at Boatslip Tea DanceFollowing Tea Dance, Sergio and dashed down to the Crown & Anchor to see Ryan Landry’s musical Peter Pansy, which was hilarious. Oddly the nightclub had very poor audio so much of the witty rebuttals and double-entendres were missed. Despite the audio issues, the show was very funny. My only bit of advice for future shows is to do your best to get as close to the stage as possible otherwise you are likely to be left wondering what was said.

Sergio and I took this year’s theme “Can’t stop the music” seriously and went out to the A-House to get our dance on, but by midnight I was so full from drinking since 5 that I felt like I could hear the drinks swishing in my stomach as I moved so I called it a night and came home to unwind.

ChristopherFTL – Chris is a native Californian who has an unapologetic Liberal bent to most of his tweets. He also has a blog, From the left, which I like reading. I actually found out from Chris’ tweets that a CEO of a Boston-based sneaker company donated $500k to Romney’s presidential campaign. #NotCool is right Chris.

DavidGanhao – David is yet another example of how handsome Boston can be. Mix that in with his very funny tweets and he’s an obvious choice.A recent tweet of his – which I can relate to: “Twitter suggested I follow Bon Apetit magazine, so basically twitter just called me a fatass. #bigboned”#TooFunny

Naoij – Vincent lives in London and is a twitter-holic. He’s posted nearly 25K tweets, which are mostly conversational with the occasional, picture, quote or video included. He recently moved into a new “flat” so if you follow him – ask him how his move went. He’s currently looking for a flatmate so give him a holler if you’re looking for a place to call home in London. #SoHandsome

Cheers from Provincetown

I arrived in Provincetown on Saturday enjoying what turned out to be the last bit of sun we will see for a few days. Today was mostly overcast albeit very comfortable. Everyone seemed to use the break from the good weather we’ve been enjoying to shop. Commercial Street was packed from one end to the next with people carrying shopping bags overflowing with items (so much for there being a recession).

This afternoon I purchased tickets to see Ryan Landry’s play Peter Pansy for Tuesday evening. I first wrote about Ryan’s latest musical back in April when it opened in Boston. If interested, you can read more about the storyline here.

If one is to believe the local forecast the weather will unfortunately remain fairly ugly, but will clear by Wednesday with the brightest and warmest day of the week on Thursday when the big parade and most of the celebrations for Carnival Week occur.

The photo above is of Sergio and one of the many helpful young men distributing rum test tube shots at the Boatslip Tea Dance this afternoon.

Carnival Week in Provincetown 13-Aug to 20-Aug

I am in a Ptown state of mind…

In just a few hours I’ll be heading down to Provincetown for Carnival Week. I think many guys from Boston think of this week in Ptown as Boston’s unofficial Pride. Sadly, as much as I love Boston, our city’s Pride celebration is unbelievably boring.

Carnival brings a big city feel to this tiny little village at the tip of the Cape. Its not as risque as many of the marquee circuit events or major pride celebrations, but it’s PG-13 rating doesn’t detract from all the fun one bit.

So my next few postings will be coming from Provincetown. Should you happen to be there as well, leave a comment and we can try to meet for a drink. Here are some pictures from 2010 Provincetown Carnival Parade.

Hairymodelwanab – I started following Paul at the start of summer. This Brit has more than a killer body. He’s also very playful on Twitter and easy to communicate with. His flirtatious nature will keep you coming back for more #Promise

Nickos_00 – Nick is the 1st Caribbean guy I think I’ve profiled.Although his profile makes no mention of it, he’s rather sweet and a runner. As much as I like his current profile pic (and who wouldn’t), I’d love to see a shirtless image on his twitter account #FingersCrossed

BennMendoza is one of the more interesting characters I follow on Twitter. He’s part aerial performer, part acrobatic, part circus entertainer and all parts amazing. His website also features some amazing photos of his performances, www.bennmendoza.com#Wow

Finding a bit of heaven in Hell’s Kitchen

I arrived in NYC on Friday with my buddy Paul for a fun weekend in the city. We took the Acela from Amtrak down to the city and arrived in plenty of time to enjoy Boxers, crazy happy hour festivities.

Bars are not allowed to have happy hour promotions in Massachusetts so true to form we drank more than intended and left pleasantly buzzed with plans to head out to Hell’s Kitchen after a quick pit stop back at the hotel to freshen up and a quick bite to eat.

We’d both been to Hell’s Kitchen but it had been several years (at least for me since my previous visit). One of the things I really like about the neighborhood is how easy it is to bar hop. We started by checking out Industry. It was one of the busier bars we visited and the music was great, but neither Paul nor I were feeling it so we walked across the street to Therapy. However, Therapy was fairly dead by comparison so we opted to head over to Ritz.

Entering Ritz would make just about anyone feel claustrophobic but of all the places, this had the most energy and the by far – the best people watching. We worked our way to the back room and danced up along the walls.

Paul and I spent most of the evening watching a young couple “get familiar” with each other, some A-List wannabes with killer bodies shake their groove thing and chatting with people to our left and right – there always seemed to be a constant ebb and flow that brought a new someone every 5-10 minutes.

There are plenty of other bars all close by and when visiting its so easy to bar hop its enough to make my head spin. What bars in HK do you like and why? Leave a comment to share because I’m hoping I can head back soon.

DASOUL underwear

One of the unintended consequences of having a blog is that a lot of advertiser and PR people flood your inbox promoting their products and services. I generally ignore these requests and choose not to have advertisers on my blog. However, today I received an email from the people at DASOUL.

According to the email, DASOUL creates an imaginative, yet classic new perspective in the men’s underwear market. I’m not really sure what that means exactly, but then they threw in some images of their models and a link to a promo video. I dunno, but something about sexy guys flexing for the camera wearing nothing but underwear totally appeals to me (there’s a reason I add #ImShallow to the end of many of my tweets).

Maybe this sort of thing does nothing for you, but it was just the visual stimulation I was looking for to get me through the last bit of my day today.

As some of my previous posts have shown (i.e. Zipcar Low-Car Diet SWAG), I do love free stuff so if DASOUL would like to send me some of their product to try out, I’d be very appreciative. I can’t compete with the gorgeous male models they have but I’ll include a picture of the merchandise on my blog should it arrive.

Francois2 – (Marlon G) lives in Montreal and is gay and single according to his profile so for anyone looking for l’amour in Montreal get yourself over to McGill University where he spends much of his time completing his Masters degree. Enlarge the picture and check out his eyes. He’s so damn handsome.
JaredJEdwards – Originally from Vegas, this sexy guy now calls Southern California home and based on his handsome looks and flirtatious tweets, I’m convinced he is ‘California Dreaming’. He’s certainly dreamy enough with his playful demeanor and friendly personality.

NoveliEricArvin – A.K.A. Eric Arvin is a writer and published author, who I first started following through his blog. He is an easy going guy who calls the midwest his home and who spends much of his time working on books. I think guys who write are sexy and Eric’s looks only add to his appeal.

David Williams Rugby God

I felt the need to up my quotient of #ManCandy on my site. You see I love writing on my blog, but from time to time I just get jealous of all those blogs that have such handsome and alluring photos of men. You can find more photos of David on the Man Crush of the day blog who by coincidence also recently featured him in a post.

Back in early June I included a photograph of the jaw-dropping, hunky model, David Gandy. This time I opted to post photos of a jock who has caught my eye recently. If you’d like to learn more about this Australian hunk you can check out his page on Wikipedia here.

WranglerMan would be so proud of me for this post, although he does prefer his #ManCandy in uniform and playing ball rather than looking pretty.
