Coming this summer: Brown is the New Pink

Varla Jean Merman, Ryan Landry, Art House, ProvincetownTwo of my favorite entertainers in Provincetown are collaborating once again and will have a new show in time for the summer entitled, Brown is the New Pink, at the Art House. I’ll definitely have more to share with you in the weeks that follow but if you’re planning a visit to Ptown this summer I’d suggest you put this on your “must see” list.

Bear Week in Provincetown: The entertainment

Ptown, Crown & AnchorBear Week in Provincetown is still pretty far off but tickets to the shows at The Crown & Anchor have recently gone on sale.  The line up that the Crown & Anchor is offering this year includes favorites who perform in Ptown regularly like Miss Richfield 1981 and Dina Martina as well as special guests who visit for just a few shows like Pam Ann, Leslie Jordan and Alan Cumming.

Mates Leather Weekend (Snowbound) in Ptown

Mates Leather Weekend, ProvincetownMates Leather Weekend – Snowbound (the Winter edition) will take place in Provincetown next weekend, February 19-21.  The weekend will start with a Beer Blast on Friday from 6-8 PM at The Watership Inn and concludes with a brunch on Sunday at the Crown & Anchor.  All told there are eight official parties / events through the weekend.

First Light: New Year’s Eve in Provincetown

Provincetown New Year's EveProvincetown is once again pulling out all the stops for New Years celebrations. It has been several years since Sergio and I have spent New Year’s Eve in Ptown, but it looks like the town is hoping that more people will come to ring in the New Year.  Visiting Provincetown off season can be amazing fun.  If you are still trying to figure out what to do for New Year’s Eve you might want to consider driving down to Ptown with someone special or a group of friends.

Celebrations will start on Wednesday, December 30th and run through Saturday, January 2nd. NYE parties are planned at places like the Crown & Anchor and AHouse and there will be plenty of events including shows from some of your favorite Ptown entertainers like Miss Richfield and Dina Martina as well as special events like the annual Polar Bear Plunge and Fireworks.

Holly Folly in Provincetown is Dec. 4-6

Holly Folly ProvincetownLater this week Provincetown pulls out all the stops for their annual 3-day holiday party a.k.a. Holly Folly. This year Holly Folly will host their first ever Santa Speedo Run, a 1 mile run down the center of town, with proceeds benefiting the Cape Cod Firefighter/EMS Cancer Relief Fund.

Provincetown Men’s Weekend, Nov 6-8

bartenderFor those who cannot get enough of Provincetown, Men’s Weekend which starts this Friday is a good enough excuse to justify a drive down for a visit. The weekend starts with a 70’s themed disco party at Purgatory and includes an underwear party and leather party also hosted at  Purgatory on Saturday and Sunday.

Ptown’s horror theater attraction: dead silence

David Mazochi, Michael SoldierGhost Town Productions returns to Provincetown tonight with a new haunted, interactive, theater attraction, dead silence, that runs from October 8th – November 1st every Thursday – Sunday from 7-11 p.m.

The interactive, horror, theater attraction lasts about 30 minutes.  Tickets are $25 if purchased online ahead of time and $30 when purchased at the box office.
