Gay for Good needs your help on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd

G4G BostonWith the holiday spirit of giving now in full swing I’m hoping that some of you will step forward to volunteer and help The Boston chapter of Gay for Good assemble the Toys for Joys, Inc. – T4J signature wagons in advance of their party.

Toys for Joys 2014 registration NOW OPEN

T4JThe annual Toys for Joys Party (#T4J2014) registration is open!

The T4J party is one not to be missed.  This social party helps collect and distribute toys for children in and around Boston who might otherwise not have gifts to open on Christmas day.  Devoid of long drawn out speeches and rubber chicken dinners, this is an amazing event that seems to get better each year.

Saturday December 6th – RSVP Today HERE!

This year is no exception as T4J moves to a new venue in Bay Village at The Revere Hotel Boston Common – Space 57.  Check out last year’s video below and for more information about the event visit their website here.

Donation: $35.00 charitable event donation upon registration & 3 toys.

T4JHeads up if you are new to the city or perhaps have not attended the annual Toys for Joys party that collects presents for underprivileged children. The annual tradition is moving to a new location in Bay Village / Theater District at Space 57 at The Revere Hotel Boston Common.  Save the date, Saturday, December 6th. Toys for Joys party recap

T4JThis past Saturday night the annual Toys For Joys party was held in a new, larger venue.  More than 600 men and women braved a snowstorm to bring gifts that will be given to charities that help make Christmas a little extra special for children in the area.

Thank you to everyone who posed for a picture and to Piper Jo Nevins Photography for letting me swipe a few of their event photographs for the T4J video.

Boston Toys for Joys (T4J) PartyThe holiday season may not be on your radar right now. I know it isn’t on mine, but I wanted to remind you that one month from today is the 2013 Toys for Joys.

The venue has changed and there is now a small registration fee so be sure to register early to ensure you may join what I think is the best holiday party fundraiser in Boston.

Toys for Joys registration is now open

BostonEarlier this month the organizers behind the annual holiday fundraiser, Toys for Joys, announced that the event would be held on Saturday, December 14th in a new, larger location in Southie. This past Friday Toys for Joys registration opened.  A modest registration fee of $30 has been added this year. I hope to see you there.

T4JOne of my favorite holiday traditions in Boston is the annual Toys for Joys party.  The growing popularity of this event appears to have moved the party from the Artist for Humanity building to the larger Black Falcon Cruise Terminal in South Boston. Toys for Joys Boston 2012

Each year this event collects thousands of gifts that are in-turn passed along to local charities for their distribution to underprivileged children during the holiday season. I love the cause and enjoy the party each year. If you missed Saturday’s party, but want to contribute to this non-profit’s cause, you may make a donation on their website, here.

2011 Toys for Joys PartyThis Saturday is Boston’s annual Toys for Joys (a.k.a. T4J) event / fundraiser. Toys for Joys BostonToys for Joys Boston is one of my favorite (and one of the most social) holiday parties held each December.  Thanks to the organizers, sponsors and the community this party donates thousands of dollars of gifts for children, but to attend this party you must register.  To tempt you into coming, I’ve included photographs from the 2011 Toys for Joys party in Boston, here.

2012 Toys for Joys Boston party announced

Mark your calendars!  The organizers of one of my favorite parties in Boston have announced that this year’s Toys for Joys will be held Saturday night, December 15, 2012.  They will be updating their Facebook and the Web Site soon with all the information on this year’s event and registration.  Link here to see photos from the 2011 Toys for Joys party in Boston.

Toys for Joys, Inc. is a non-profit event/organization dedicated to providing toys and gifts for underprivileged children during the holiday season. This annual event, through donations from businesses, organizations and individuals, will collect toys and gifts with 100% of the donations given to local charities for distribution at their holiday events.

Toys for Joys (T4J) Party in Boston

This past Saturday was the annual Toys for Joys (a.k.a. T4J) event in Boston. T4J is a non-profit event/organization dedicated to providing toys and gifts for underprivileged children during the holiday season.  It happens to be one of the best holiday parties I attend and this year’s program didn’t disappoint.

It’s hard to say how many men attend this event which is overwhelmingly (although not exclusively) gay, but I would guess close to a thousand guys attend.  The program is either a perfect place to start your evening or as a second stop on what is always a popular night (the 2nd Saturday of December).

There was no way I could collect enough pictures from the event and many of my photographs unfortunately did not come out as I had hoped (mental note, vodka + BosGuy = crappy pictures). However here is a sampling of some of the gracious attendees who paused to pose for me and my trusty companion Sergio.

I have not seen any reports on how many gifts or attendees visited the event this past weekend, but you can learn more about the program by visiting their site, toysforjoys.org.
