Last week it was announced that Kathy Najimy would be the Grand Marshal for Provincetown’s annual Carnival parade scheduled for Thursday, August 20th.
Kathy will also perform one show on Wednesday, August 19th at Ptown’s Town Hall.

Although I believe this is purely coincidence, Tony and Emmy Award winning star Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka will perform two shows for one night only in Provincetown on August 10th on the first night of the 3rd annual Ptown “Daddy Days”.
Both shows will feature Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host for both shows on August 10th at 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. More information for tickets here.
Well-Strung, everyones favorite singing string quartet returns to Provincetown this summer with an all new show entitled, Summer Lovin’ directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. Members of Well-Strung include Edmund Bagnell (first violin), Christopher Marchant (second violin), Daniel Shevlin (cello) and Trevor Wadleigh (viola). Music arrangements are by Well-Strung and Bruce Carter.

Memorial Day Weekend – a.k.a. Baby Dyke Weekend in Provincetown – Mark Cortale proudly presents the launch of the Broadway at Town Hall series, starring Emmy Winner and cultural icon Rosie O’Donnell.
Accompanying Rosie will be Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky who will join Rosie as pianist and host for the evening.

Mark your calendars, because one month from today on Friday, May 15th, the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) will host their annual Sip The Rainbow celebration at their building in Bay Village at 122 Arlington Street.
This year’s theme is Provincetown. As a result, the party will include tasty treats and craft cocktails from some of Provincetown’s favorite chefs and mixologists. The evening will also showcase the sites of Provincetown as part of an ongoing photography exhibit at BCAE, entitled P-town to Boston: A Photo Exhibit ; the exhibit will run through September 30, 2015.

Do you have plans to visit Provincetown this summer? No trip would be complete without taking in at least one show. This tiny town at the tip of the Cape has fantastic live performances ranging from Broadway stars to rising stars. The Provincetown Art House is one of the main theatrical venues worth checking out.
Bookmark their site and check back over the next few weeks as more performers and performances are added. Because the venue is small, shows sell out fast so I suggest you reserve tickets for a show or two before you arrive in Ptown.

Described as Designing Women meets The Golden Gals a new production returns to The Art House this summer.
We enjoyed last year’s production so much I’m certain we’ll be back again. Starring Varla Jean Merman and Ryan Landry, performances start on May 23 and run through September 5th.
Australian drag queen, pop singer and entertainer, Courtney Act, will be taking up residence this summer in Provincetown with her show Boys Like Me.
This Ru Paul Drag Race alumnus will be performing in Ptown June 30th through August 20th so get your tickets while they last.
Check it out RuPaul Drag Race fans. Season Six winner, Bianca Del Rio, comes to Provincetown this summer with her show Rolodex of Hate.
This show is certain to sell out so get your tickets in advance – especially if you will be staying during peak weeks like Carnival. Ms. Del Rio will be performing from August 9th through September 3rd at The Art House.
The Crown & Anchor is once again playing host to an impressive line up of Broadway stars coming to perform in Provincetown this summer. While summer may seem months off, tickets to shows are already on sale so snap up the best tickets while they remain. At this early date you can have everything paid off long before you arrive in Ptown.

While summer in Provincetown may seem too far off to contemplate, the reality is that Ptown is a premiere LGBT destination for gay travelers all over the world and places are booking for some of Provincetown’s busiest weeks.
Independence 2015 – Tickets and Information for the Crown
Last week The Crown & Anchor started selling tickets for Independence 2015. Independence 2015 will run from July 2 – July 10, 2015 and the Crown has an incredible line up of award-winning DJs including Alain Jackinsky (JustCircuit’s DJ of the Year 2014), Ivan Gomez, Abel and many more. If the club scene isn’t your thing the Crown has lined up three live concerts with the original “Dream Girl” – Tony and Grammy award winning – Jennifer Holliday.
Edge Media is reporting that The Provincetown Cultural Council and the Town of Provincetown, is seeking expressions of interest from qualified artists to develop a site-specific Memorial commemorating the lives lost to AIDS in the Town of Provincetown, and the Town’s response to the AIDS crisis.
The deadline for the submission of expression of interest is May 1, 2015. Review by the PCC of the responses to this Request for Expressions of Interest will be followed by issuance of a formal Request for Proposals by the Town of Provincetown.

Ogunquit Maine Street Has DJ Aga and DJ Ken spinning music until they close at 2:00 AM. Tickets for the party at Maine Street can be purchased in advance from their website for only $10 at www.mainestreetogunquit.com.
