The 2023 Bob-Spread Calendar

Last year’s innaugural Bob-Spread Calendar was realeased ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The eye-catching pg-13 rated photos were definitely popular, and I made the case that the proceeds from sales which supported the men on the US bobsled team was just icing on the cake for making this purchase. The photos are being included in a new 2023 calendar that is for sale.

The models (and members of the 2022 US Men’s Bob Sled Team) include team: drivers – Hunter Church and Codie Bascue, and push athletes – Hakeem Abdul-Saboor, Kris Horn, Blaine McConnell, Jimmy Reed, Nic Taylor, Carlo Valdes, Charlie Volker and Josh Williamson.

Orders placed by Wednesday, December 21st will arrive in time for Christmas and make for a great gift or Yankee Swap at $25.00.

Vintage gay

This is the second week in the row that I wanted to give a shout out and thanks to BosGuy blog reader, Angel from Asturias Spain for sharing this rather cheeky photograph of two men conserving water. The lack of clothing makes it nearly impossible to date the photo but I’d be curious if anyone can hazzard a guess.

Winter Rendezvous: Gay ski week at Stowe Mountain

Winter Rendezvous is New England’s largest and longest running gay ski week party. This year the event will take place January 18-22, 2023. For those of you trying to buy a holiday gift for someone who enjoys skiing, this may be the perfect present. Winter Rendezvous includes events each night at the gorgeous Stowe Mountain resort in Vermont.

Official lodging venues include Top Notch Resort (host hotel), Brass Lantern Inn, and Stowe Motel, but people will be making reservations wherever they can find space and if you’re thinking of going, I’d recommend you do the same before places sell out.

This year’s parties and entertainers will include an amazing Tina Turner tribute by Debby Holiday, Miss Richfield 1981, Miss Jackie Beat, and several dance parties with great DJs. For more information about Winter Rendezvous 2023 visit the website, www.winterrendezvous.com.

Feeling tempted? You can blame that on Puru Schout, a Dutch vegan bodybuilder who is exceptionally easy on the eyes. You can follow him on Instagram @puruschout.

Margaret Cho comes to The Wilbur this April

Last week Margaret Cho announced her new tour, Live and LIVID. The 20+ city tour starts in early March but doesn’t arrive in Boston until Thursday, April 13th at The Wilbur Theater in Boston’s Theater District.

Tickets went on sale December 9th so don’t delay in making plans, because she will sell out! Hopefully she will add a second show for that evening. This would make for a fantastic night out with friends or a fun Christmas gift for that hard to buy for guy gay.

The Front Porch Arts Collective

Chicken & Biscuits: December 9, 2022 – January 8, 2023

I wanted to give a shout out to a theater company I only recently became aware of called The Front Porch Arts Collective. Since it was formed five years ago, the Black theater company has aimed to bring greater racial equity to the Boston theater community. Their production of Douglas Lyons’s “Chicken & Biscuits” at Suffolk University’s Modern Theatre marks their first solo staging. Tickets are very affordable ($25 for adults and $15 for students).

About Chicken & Biscuits
This raucous family comedy is full of laughter and love, and it will leave you begging for seconds. The Jenkins family is coming together to celebrate the life of their father—hopefully without killing each other! But any hopes for a peaceful reunion unravel when a family secret shows up at the funeral

I would like to the Front Porch Arts Collective much luck and hope to get to see this production before it closes next month. You can learn more about this theater company, here.
