Delta Airlines adds more seats and nonstop routes from Boston
Do you like to travel on Delta Airlines? It is about to get a bit easier for those of you who are fans of Delta. According to an article published in the Boston Business Journal earlier this month, the airline is going to boost the number of flights out of Logan Airport with the goal to be the only U.S. global carrier to offer first-class seating on every flight to and from Boston by the end of this year.
The airline company has indicated that by June 2017 Delta Airlines will have 85 domestic departures to 17 cities, and 5 international departures to 4 cities for a total of 90 peak day departures to 26 destinations.
Added routes from Boston will include:
Daily nonstop service to San Francisco
Daily nonstop service to Seattle
Daily nonstop service to Nashville
Daily nonstop service to Milwaukee
Saturday nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica
Saturday nonstop service to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Saturday nonstop service to St. Thomas, U.S. V.I.

Arugula and Peach Salad is perfect for Labor Day cookout or dinner party
With Labor Day Weekend fast approaching I wanted to share this easy to make and delicious salad you can offer to bring to or serve at a cook out / dinner this coming weekend or for as long as you can get fresh peaches.
I have to give credit to our friends Frederic and Olivier who made this one evening for us in Provincetown. I’ve taken some liberties, modifying the ingredients and I hope you will do the same should you decide to make this.
BosGuy’s Arugula & Peach Salad Ingredients
4 ripe peaches
Arugula (one handful per person)
Walnuts
Dressing and seasonings: Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar, Dried Oregano and Salt
Directions
Peel the peaches (I use an apple peeler) and chop into bite sized pieces
Combine with arugula and add walnuts
Add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, oregano and salt to taste then toss
If you love cheese, consider adding goat cheese (not shown below).
Much thanks for Frederic & Olivier for making this for us. It is the perfect summer salad.
Scruffy Sunday
Airberlin will provide daily service between Boston and Dusseldorf in 2017
Traveling to Germany is about to get a bit easier for Bostonians. Earlier this month Airberlin announced plans to increase their nonstop flights between Boston and Dusseldorf from four times a week to daily service starting May 2017. According to data shared by the airline, these routes are running at nearly 80% capacity with much of the revenue coming from business travelers.
Airberlin only recently started flying out of Boston, initially offering service between the two cities three times a week. This past June the airline increased the service to four times a week and it would appear to bode well for both tourists and business that the airline now sees daily service as profitable.
