Red Bull Flugtag makes its first appearance in Boston this weekend.
What is the Red Bull Flugtag? It is a creative challenge to design, build and pilot home-made flying machines off a 28-foot high flight deck that will be erected along the DCR Hatch Shell on the Esplanade in Boston’s Back Bay. Teams are judged on three criteria: flight distance, creativity of the craft, and showmanship. All will be challenged to beat the current record of 258 feet.
