Winter is here but don’t let the cold keep you at home when there are so many events, parties and more. This week I’d like to give a shout out to the Après Ski Winter Mixer on Wednesday (hosted by Out in Southie, OutRyders and DotOUT) at Bastille Kitchen and on a somewhat related note the Sugarloaf Together ski weekend that starts on Thursday to benefit Equality Maine. 

If skiing isn’t your thing perhaps you’d like to show your love and support by attending the Coronation XV: Vintage Hollywood the Golden Age of Glamour which will be a blast or you can join Sergio and me at the Lush Life: Jazz Standards show on Thursday at the Napoleon Room. 

On Sunday I’d like to give the Mass Bears and Cubs Sunday brunch at Trophy Room and the Gay Beer Club Sundays which meets later that evening (both are friendly, social groups that do a lot to dispel Boston’s cold reputation).

Below I’ve listed nearly 25 events, parties and programs but here are a few shout outs for you to consider. If you’re looking for something that will provide you with a bit of culture check out Winnie-The-Pooh: Exploring a classic (the show closes on Sunday), get tickets to see Small Mouth Sounds from the SpeakEasy Stage (it’s opening weekend) or invite friends to join you the local galleries on Friday evening for SoWa First Fridays, or check out 

If you’re more in the mood to let of some steam and dance the night away check out LADY GAGA Night at CC or FASCINATION Friday if you want to get your kink on. On Saturday you can head over to The Oberon to pretend you’re at Studio 54 at the audience participation Donkey Show or dance all night in your underwear at The Alley’s UnderBear dance party.

Winnie-The-Pooh: Exploring a classic opened at the MFA back in September and will close on Sunday so if you want to see this show make plans to visit the MFA this weekend

SoWa First Fridays is a great option to check out on Friday from 5-9PM if your looking for a fun and affordable way to get out and  take in some local culture – head over to the galleries and studios in SoWa at 450 Harrison Ave.

Queer Inclusive Climbing Klub (QuICK) Pizza night and climbing club at Brooklyn Boulders in Somerville

Small Mouth Sounds (Opening Night) is presented by the SpeakEasy Stage Co. at the Calderwood Pavilion in the South End and will run through Feb 2nd 

Don’t Tell Boston (Back Bay) is a secret comedy show that hosts some of the best and brightest comedians in the US – the exact location will be shared when you buy your tickets online 

RPDR All Star Viewing Party is at Trophy Room with Miranda Wrights and Severity Stone starting at 8PM in Boston

Guerrilla Queer Bar (GQB) hosted by The Welcoming Committee is this Friday starting at 9PM at The Good Life in Boston

La Boum Queer Dance Party is hosted the first Friday of each month starting at 10PM at the Milky Way in JP

FASCINATION Friday is a monthly gear/ fetish/ kink night at Jacques the 1st and 4th Friday of the month in Boston

H E R O E S  Retro dance party hosted the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10PM-2AM at Sonia (formerly TT The Bear’s Place) in Central Square

Casual Fridays is a weekly dance party with no cover featuring DJ Begbick at the Alley Bar in DTX

LADY GAGA Night at CC attention Little Monsters, this party is going to be crazy busy with Gaga remixes featured all Friday night by DJ Stevie Psyclone so arrive early or you’ll be standing outside in a line for a looooong time

MADONNA cover band Power of Love perform their show “Material World” at the Sinclair on Saturday starting at 7PM (get your tickets)

Blend Saturdays bring your friends for a fun night out with great music and no cover at Blend (formerly Peggy’s) in Dorchester

EXTRA! Featuring Gina Tonic is hosted by Dusty Morehead at Machine starting at 10PM on Saturday in Boston

Video Night Tracks every Saturday night join VJ Ryan Grow at Cathedral Station starting at 9:30PM

The Donkey Show is the ultimate disco experience is a story inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream each Saturday at Club Oberon in Cambridge.

UNITE Saturdays is a weekly dance party at Club Cafe with DJ Susan Esthera (no cover before 11PM) in Boston

UnderBear dance party has no cover and a clothes check (no dress code downstairs and mandatory underwear only dress code upstairs – all the fun starts at 10PM at the Alley Bar in DTX

Sunday Tea Dance never has a cover and always has great music from 70s 80s & 90s, starting at 6PM no cover every Sunday at Club Cafe in Boston

Karaoke at the Alley is every Sunday starting at 8PM in Boston

Pajama Party is a weekly dance party hosted every Sunday starting at 10PM at Machine in Boston

Hot Mess Sundays at Candibar in the Theater District is every Sunday starting at 10PM in Boston
