Kill the closet: National Coming Out day

I have no idea what was the motivation / inspiration behind the 1980 pop music hit I’m Coming Out by Diana Ross, but I can’t think of a more appropriate song. The lyrics, intent and emotion match exactly how I felt after I came out and make it the perfect song to share on National Coming Out Day.

Brady Bunch reboot: ‘Where’s Alice?’

humor, friends, InstagramSergio and I had friends over this past weekend and after a few glasses of wine had been poured, we started having fun with Instagram. And this was the end result. Looking through the photos the following day, I started to arrange them as shown above, and I couldn’t help but think this could make for a funny modern day reboot of the Brady Bunch.

One week ago today was a beach day

gay boston, M Street BeachToday is a beautiful fall day in Boston with big puffy white clouds and plenty of sun. Temperatures will flirt with the low 70s but most of the day will be in the mid and upper 60s. I’m not complaining, because I really do love this weather, but I can’t help but think back to last week’s final Kiki Beach of the 2018 Summer, which was sunny and in the low 80s.

I’ll miss you Kiki Beach and look forward to next summer, which is only 35 <gulp> weekends away. Maybe I need to book a few trips to Miami between now and then.

What to do this weekend

man candy, handsome, hairy, tradeThere is a lot happening as you can see below, but I’d like to give a shout out to a few events that you may not be aware of that are taking place including: Penny 4 Ya Thoughts? which is a comedy night focused on painfully funny dating stories at Jacques; H E R O E S Saturday a monthly gay dance party over in Central Square; and dbar Glows ULTRA Violet! dance party in Dorchester.

If you’re looking for options during the day time check out one of these festivals the 5th Annual Lantern Festival 2018 in Chinatown, Phantom Gourmet Food Festival in the Fenway, the Fluff the 13th!which pays tribute to New England’s obsession with Fluff in Union Square and Dorchester Bike & Brew 2018which takes place in Peabody Square.
