ABSolutely amazing
I try not to make every other post be a photograph of some hunky guy because I know there are a lot of other blogs that do that sort of thing way better than me. However, I couldn’t resist posting this photo when I saw it on Kevinism’s blog.
Manhunt birthday party for Jonathan Crutchley
The dating and online gay community better known as Manhunt is based here in Boston and this past weekend one of the co-founders, Jonathan Crutchley, celebrated his birthday with a party at the Manhunt Mansion.
A friendly crowd spent a sunny, warm Sunday celebrating, while KISS 108 personality and DJ, Gay Jim, played music and the staff of dBar & Boston Chops poured drinks and manned the grill.

Thank you to everyone who was nice enough to pose and apologies to anyone who’s pictures we were not able to include.
Suddenly it makes sense
How to look good in a speedo
Later today I’ll be heading to another pool party so I thought I’d share this video that has been making the rounds on the web. The clip gives 5 tips on how to look good in a speedo. I’m not a speedo kind of guy, but I fully expect to see many of these at the pool party later today and I’m okay with that.

- Friday’s so long to Daddy Days after T-Dance at the Pied
More details about the week can be found here.
Gay for Good visits Cradles to Crayons
WHEN: August 13, 2013 at 6pm
WHERE: Cradles to Crayons 155 N Beacon St, Brighton

In the past, I’ve talked about the Boston Chapter of Gay for Good (G4G), which organizes monthly volunteering activities that allows men and women the chance to give back to their local community and to meet people. The August volunteering activity is next Tuesday, August 13th at 6PM in Brighton.
G4G will be sorting clothing and materials to help provide less fortunate children with the basic essentials they need to thrive- at home, at school, and at play. In addition to signing up, Cradles to Crayons asks that all volunteers pre-register before their scheduled volunteer visit using the link below:
Registration link: http://www.cradlestocrayons.org/preregister
Registration code: a0RC000000CaSFr

Furry Friday
Russia’s shameful present: LGBT persecution continues
Did you know that Russia’s new laws could send you to jail if you are “pro-gay”. Although nobody is really certain what that means, the growing number of hate-infused bills becoming law just as Russia is preparing to host the world in the next Winter Olympics is troublesome in the least.
CNN has an interesting opinion piece entitled Make Olympics in Russia the Gayest Ever. The editorial offers suggestions on how to support greater acceptance if not equality for the LGBT community at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. In case you think this is all an overreaction – check out some of the recent legislation passed by Putin.
Did you know there is a law that allows police to arrest “pro-gay” tourists? There is another law that labels any writing or statement calling for tolerance or equality (like this blog post) as pornography and is punishable by fine and jail time. Putin also banned adoptions of Russian children to any country where LGBT marriage is legal. Rumors now suggest the Russian government may start to remove children from same-sex couples.
What do you make of the vigilante laws in Russia that encourage violence against the LGBT community? I can’t even wrap my head around this.
Rafael Nadal Promotes M4M
Here is a picture I never would have thought I’d see posted to Rafael Nadal’s Facebook page. Apparently this is for a baby who needs bone marrow replacement. If you’d like to learn more or help that family you may link here (note the site is in Spanish). Thanks to my brother for the humorous heads up.
I bet Kenneth from Kenneth in the 212 blog is all over this.

Guerrilla Queer Bar take over tonight
Looking to head out but want to try someplace different? Today is the first Friday of the month which means TWC’s Guerrilla Queer Bar is taking over a traditionally ‘straight’ bar. Sound like fun? You betcha… This month join the fun and check out ARC Nightclub & Lounge (formerly An Tua Nua) located at 835 Beacon Street, in the Fenway. The fun starts at 9PM.
