I was surprised to read that it was 10 years ago this week that The 40 Year Old Virgin staring Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and others was released.
Ten years ago I was working in an office where the average age of most employees was mid-20s and this movie was talked about and quoted non-stop. I couldn’t believe it was released 10 years ago and checked with IMDB which confirmed that Carell’s surprise summer smash was released on August 19, 2005.
Here is a bit from the movie that had me in stitches when I first watched it. Mind the language if you are watching this in your office (NSFW). It is just as funny without the sound.
This evening Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka are performing two shows in Provincetown. My friend Alan posted this picture of them posing with him in front of Cafe Heaven earlier today.
I’m sure the show tonight which also features Seth Rudetsky will be fabulous. I’m glad NPH and David had the chance to meet Alan and enjoy a breakfast at one of my favorite spots in Ptown.

Last week a new trailer for the forthcoming James Bond movie, SPECTRE, was released. The film which stars Daniel Craig as James Bond and Ralph Fiennes as the new “M” is scheduled to open in the US on November 6, 2015.

While trolling perusing the Internet I stumbled across a post on boy culture which led me to OMG blog about a poem Zac Efron’s younger brother, Dylan, wrote when he was a kid. I think anyone who has a close relationship with their brother could probably relate to this cute poem Dylan wrote.

Last week it was announced that Kathy Najimy would be the Grand Marshal for Provincetown’s annual Carnival parade scheduled for Thursday, August 20th.
Kathy will also perform one show on Wednesday, August 19th at Ptown’s Town Hall.

Attention Serial addicts! A new podcast, that starts today, will look more closely at a murder that happened in Baltimore more than fifteen years ago. The podcast called Undisclosed: The State v. Adnan Syed will reveal ‘new evidence and information’ in the 1999 murder of Woodlawn H.S. student Hae Min Lee and the subsequent trial and incarceration of her former boyfriend, Adnan Syed.

Like many, I first became aware of Hae Min Lee and Adnan Syed after listening to the incredibly addicting (and gripping) 12-part podcast called Serial. If you’ve not listened to the original podcast series, I highly encourage you to check it out, here.
A new trailer for the next James Bond film, SPECTRE, has just been released. The latest addition to the James Bond franchise sees Daniel Craig reprising his role as the infamous MI6 spy for a fourth time, following the worldwide success of 2012’s Skyfall, which I loved despite the fact that it killed off Judi Dench.
SPECTRE is scheduled to open in theaters on Friday, November 6, 2015.

I don’t pay that much attention to how many followers I have on Twitter, but last week I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw that Taye Diggs started following me. I still think that it might have been a mistake on his part – although we both do share a love for Broadway musicals.
I’ve been obsessing over Taye Diggs ever since I saw late 90s movie How Stella Got Her Groove Back. In my opinion, this Hollywood / Broadway star has only become better looking and more interesting with age.
Chalk this post up to me bragging (and flirting just a bit in case Mr. Diggs ever sees this post). I know he doesn’t fancy men but that won’t stop me from fancying him.
