Do you hate doing laundry? Washio is a laundry / dry cleaning app that started servicing Boston and some surrounding communities last month. I was only too eager to try this new service when they approached and asked me if I would give their service a try.
For professionals on the go and busy couples, I can see how Washio could become quite addicting. The service, which is app-based, could not be easier to navigate. It only took a few minutes to create a profile, schedule a pick up and drop off. Prices are reasonable considering the convenience: wash & fold is $1.70/lbs.; launder & pressing men’s dress shirts $2.75; and dry cleaning men’s dress pants $7.95. I was impressed by the punctuality, polite service and ease of use. With winter coming, the idea of trudging down the street to lug my dress shirts and pants back home becomes less amusing and the convenience of Washio more compelling.
