The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation have been hosting free movie nights along the Mystic River at Assembly Row every Saturday at dusk.

Matt Riddlehoover’s PATERNITY LEAVE is a romantic comedy about Greg (Jacob York), Ken (Charlie David), and a moment of passion on the eve of their four year anniversary that changes the course of their lives forever.
Greg begins feeling nauseated, fatigued, moody and – most unfortunately – fat. At his wit’s end and Ken’s insistence, he sees a doctor who’s stumped and refers the couple to a specialist. To everyone’s amazement, Greg is pregnant. Shock, stress, and fear settle in, and Greg’s relationship gets put to the ultimate test.
Many of Boston’s local theaters are rolling out new shows for you to enjoy this fall. You can see classics like My Fair Lady at The Lyric Stage and Arthur Miller’s Broken Glass at the NewRep Theater. The A.R.T. and Centastage both have world premieres, and I’ll definitely be checking out Zeitgeist Stage Co. production of The Boys in the Band.

A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I enjoy following model Max Emerson on Instagram. Another model who is active on Instagram is Tyson Beckford.
I’ve admired Tyson since the early / mid 90s when he was a Ralph Lauren model, and at nearly 45 years old he looks as good as ever in my opinion. According to the 2015 Urban Mobility Scorecard, travel delays due to traffic congestion caused drivers to waste more than 3 billion gallons of fuel, costing on average, $960 per commuter. I was surprised to see DC leapfrog Los Angeles to claim the dubious honor of worst commute in America. According to the rankings, Boston commuters lose 64 hours each year; 5th worst traffic in the US.
Who has the worst gridlock? Below are the 10 worst average annual traffic delays per commuter in hours for urban areas with at least 3 million people.

I’m so happy to miss out on this headache. I’ve not driven to work since 1999 and if I can help it I’ll never go back to commuting by car ever again. How do you get to work? Do you drive to work each day?
Last week Boston Magazine reported that a new low-cost air carrier from Europe will begin offering nonstop service in May 2016 to Oslo and Copenhagen with plans to add more destinations in the near future. The previously unknown carrier, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, will bring more competition to these markets and greater access to Eurpoe with more nonstop flights.
For those of you who may be tempted, Copenhagen Pride is August 11 -15, 2016. There is more info about gay life in Denmark and in particular Copenhagen here.

This past weekend Strandbeest hosted a preview on Crane’s Beach of Theo Jansen’s internationally acclaimed kinetic sculptures. While his exhibit opens at the P.E.M. on September 19th you have two chances to check out Theo Jansen’s amazingly creative work this Friday in downtown Boston.
