Provincetown Carnival 2015 Candy Land video

Much thanks to everyone who was nice enough to pose for a photograph at Carnival this past week in Provincetown and a special thanks to Alberto Bianco who shared some of his photos and to Sergio for taking most of the pictures and helping to assemble this video – I couldn’t have done it without him.

Provincetown’s 2016 Carnival theme is Back to the 80s so start your planning. We will see you there.

Provincetown’s Red Inn turns 100

Red Inn ProvincetownBuilt in 1805, The Red Inn has welcomed guests who have come to vacation in Provincetown for 100 years.  Two weeks ago, to celebrate their centennial anniversary the Inn made use of their beachfront to congratulate themselves. I love the aerial image of the Red Inn.  Sergio and I make a point of it to stop by for a cocktail at some point during our stay in Provincetown.

MBTA interactive map rates you

MBTA stationsHow much of a Bostonian are you? Are you a student or tourist who’s only been to a few MBTA stops or are you a frequent flyer always on the T?

A former BU graduate who works for Condé Nast created an interactive map that judges rates you based on the number of T stops you’ve got off at over the years.  Anyone who has been to all 146 stops earns the title of Charlie. I am an Interlopah, one grade above BC Dropout with a respectable score of 40.

You can take the MBTA quiz on the cleverest blog.

If you feel inclined feel free to share in my blog’s comments. For the record I’m a boxers guy at night but by day I prefer boxer briefs.

The East coasts first 4D movie theater opens in Boston

Fat CatFor those of you who love going to the movies, check out the newly refurbished Showcase Cinema de Lux in Revere. It is only the second in the nation and the first on the East coast “MX4D” theater. MX4D theater allows viewers to experience major motion pictures in an exciting new way; immersing you in the action on screen via an array of carefully programmed special effects including, moving seats, bursts of water and real-life smells (that last part does sound a bit nasty but maybe you’ll enjoy it).
