Temptation Tuesday
Boston Gay Men’s book club meets Monday, June 20
Looking for an alternative to bars? Boston’s Gay Men’s Book Club which meets each month at the Trident Booksellers and Cafe might be the perfect option. Each month this group gathers to socialize and discuss a different book in one of my favorite bookshops in Boston.
Next Monday this group will reconvene in the Back Bay to talk about the 2014 fictionalized biography of E.M. Forster, Arctic Summer by Damon Galgut. The New York Times’ Thomas Mallon wrote this piece in praise of the book back in September 2014, “A Closet With a View”.
All are welcome to join when the group meets on Monday, June 20th at 7:00 PM at the Trident Booksellers and Cafe located near Mass Ave at 338 Newbury Street. Be sure to sign up to the “Meet Up” group and RSVP, here.

Work, work, work….
My job has been pretty intense lately and as this post goes live I’m about 30,000 feet above ground heading over to the Left Coast for the week. That combined with the fact that what little free time I had last week was spent enjoying Boston Pride means posting may be thin this week and my ability to respond to questions and comments will be limited. Mass shooting at gay club in Orlando
By the time this publishes most of you will have heard about the mass shooting at the gay club in Orlando called Pulse and maybe there will be more information. According to accounts from the scene, the gunman traded gunfire with police officer before entering Pulse at 2 a.m.
Most of the estimated 320 people inside escaped, but an unknown number were taken hostage in a bathroom. Current reports indicate 20 were killed and 42 injured. What a sad way to close out Boston Pride.

After all the fun from Boston Pride the night before I’m pretty sure a lot of guys will feel the same way about this morning, but you need to rally for the Back Bay block party later this afternoon.
Wicked funny: Zachary Quinto performs Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On”
I admit that I’m a Zachary Quinto fan and I’m a Missy Elliot fan so there was no way I wasn’t going to post this video of Quinto putting it on the line in his lip sync battle where he performs “Get Ur Freak On”. I hope it brings a smile to your face as well.
