Yesterday was not a good day for those opposed to marriage equality. A Federal judge in the red state of Kentucky struck down the state’s 2004 marriage ban – making this the 23rd pro-marriage ruling in the past year. Read more here.
Additionally, six same-sex couples from Colorado filed a federal lawsuit challenging their state’s ban on the freedom to marry yesterday. Based on the Kentucky ruling (not to mention the 22 other states that have ruled the same over the past 12 months) it would seem likely that the increasingly purple state of Colorado may be on it’s way to saying “I do” to marriage equality as well.
Last week the website, Jezebel, had an article that was brought to my attention called Men’s sports uniforms ranked.
Perhaps the author wrote it best, “The World Cup has presented us with lots of excuses to gaze upon Thighlights, but are soccer uniforms really the most awesome uniforms in the sporting world?”
Check out Dodai’s compilation of the best men’s sports uniforms here.

Yesterday, US District Court Judge Richard Young ruled against Indiana’s statute banning marriage equality, making Indiana the latest state to see their marriage ban struck down since the US Supreme Court ruled in its historic marriage ruling last June.
Judge Young wrote, “In time, Americans will look at the marriage of couples such as Plaintiffs, and refer to it simply as marriage – not same sex marriage.”
Congratulations Indiana – and welcome to the 21st century.
Provincetown is about to get real crowded as tens of thousands of men visit for the Independence Week parties starting on Saturday, June 28th. The entire town will be filled to capacity but don’t be deterred. Be sure to check out the Boatslip’s massive tea dance each day, visit some of the clubs like the Atlantic House (A-House) and certainly catch a show while you visit.
Also be sure to visit The Crown & Anchor which will host to some great parties and consider getting tickets party promoter Chris Harris’ events. For details about the parties at The Crown & Anchor or to purchase their party passes visit their website, onlyatthecrown.com/independence.
Here are photos I snapped from July 4th week in 2013 in Ptown.
Did you know the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) bans gay & bisexual men from donating blood? On July 11th a nationwide blood drive will take place to bring attention to the ban and hopefully help save lives.
Participating Gay/Bisexual men who bring an eligible donor or ally come to donate blood in Boston will also be asked to fill out a message to the FDA and sign a White House Petition to end this pointless ban. The goal in Boston is to fill every blood donation appointment on Friday, July 11th, to help meet the White House Petition goal of 100,000 signatures gathered from across the US.
The ever so dreamy PA State Representative, Brian Sims, who I first wrote about back in 2012 (as one of my Men of Twittah) and more recently wrote about in my post, Lusting After Brian Sims, will be in Provincetown during Bear Week hosting a fundraiser for his campaign.
Lord knows I’ve spent a significant amount of time scouring the internet for a shirtless photograph of this handsome, progressive, gay state representative. Since I won’t be in Ptown during bear week, I’m encouraging anyone who might be there to be on the look out for this handsome Pennsylvanian sunning himself.
Paradise in Cambridge is hosting a block party to celebrate World Pride which is occurring this week in Toronto. Couldn’t make it to Canada for the fun? Check out Boston’s take with a fun block party.
Manhunt Bubbles presents the first pool party of the summer season at the Manhunt Mansion on Saturday from 1PM – 5:0oPM.
Sergio and I are out of town otherwise we’d be heading there. Tickets are $20 at the door (cash only). When the pool is full no more may come and play so don’t dally. Do say hello to my buddy, Gay Jim, who will be playing music at the event. More information here.
