I’ve had Kylie on the brain all day, and this tribute video from the guys over at Randy Blue is a personal favorite. I can’t believe it was two years ago this month that Kylie Minogue kicked off the American leg of her Aphrodite Tour here in Boston. I hope she’ll come back before long, but til then I hope you enjoy this.
The Provincetown Business Guild has released this promo to remind everyone the theme for Carnival Week in Ptown (August 18 – 24) will be Viva Las Vegas.

Australian Gay Rights Tribute
A touching video tribute to Australia’s fight for LGBT equality was shared this morning on Towleroad, and I wanted to pick up and pass this along.
Not sure if you’ve seen this video clip, but apparently students in Tralee, Ireland have dubbed scenes from Tarantino’s film Pulp Fiction in a Kerry accent. I love it when Vince (John Travolta) and Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) say “royale with cheese” in the Kerry accent, it is absolutely hilarious.

Check out this hilarious parody of your local cable provider. Note that there is some profane language involved, but I think you will agree it is spot on. My favorite line is “Your local high speed internet and cable provider. You won’t like it and there’s no other option.”
I’m not sure how I missed this gem of a video and perhaps you’re one of the more than a million viewers who have either seen this or one of the many other versions of this same video on YouTube.
However, when my friend Michael shared this clip while I was up in Vermont earlier this week, I knew I was going to post it on my blog. I hope it gives you a chuckle.

Canada’s Ministry of Health is using humor to raise awareness about smoking. I think it is absolutely hysterical and can’t stop watching / laughing at this P.S.A. What do you think? Witty, funny or just in poor taste?
Earlier this week several hundred supporters of the Theater Offensive in Boston showed up to celebrate their annual fund raiser, climACTS! at Rumor Boston. The party included entertainers, Sherry Vine, Cazwell, and Marga Gomez as well as a brief auction. Theater Offensive is reporting that the 2013 event raised more than $100,000 to support the expansion of their youth theater program True Colors: Out Youth Theater!

Game of Thrones Season 3 starts at the end of March and CinestirTV has created a masterful mash up video called “The Princess Bride Promo”.
I’ll admit I’m hooked on this HBO series, and i am looking forward to the third season. I would also rank Reiner’s fantasy parody, The Princess Bride as an all time personal favorite movie so I couldn’t resist sharing this when I found it. Enjoy the mash up.
On a related note, a talented friend of mine here in Boston has created his own mash up video of the movies, Mean Girls and Evil Dead. I love his write up about the video. “When the queen bee’s reign is threatened by the new girl in school, Mia’s (Regina George) plan of attack turns sour when the Burn Book unleashes something far more sinister.”

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives.
Hillary Clinton has made a video for the Human Rights Campaign to voice her support for marriage equality. This follows her vocal support for gay rights that she voiced as Secretary of State. If you’ve not seen this video, check it out here.
