After Karl Rove had a meltdown over Fox News indicating Obama had won Ohio, Fox News anchor, Megyn Kelly (who spells that name with a “y’?) asked Karl Rove who was disputing the data “Is this just math you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better.”
Stewart wasted no time seizing upon her words, suggesting this should replace their current tag line “Fair and Balanced“. No argument here.

One month from today Boston will host the 13th annual Santa Speedo Run. This year the local beneficiary will be Play Ball Foundation.
Over the years, this hilarious and fun tradition has spread to other cities so check and see if a similar event will be taking place in your hometown.
The run starts at 1pm on Boylston Street near the Prudential Mall so arrive early to cheer runners who will be in speedos running to raise money for the Play Ball Foundation. Never been or won’t be able to attend? Here is a video from last year.

Meghan supports legalization of marijuana and same sex marriage
Shortly after I published my previous post Lessons for the Republican Party I stumbled upon this video clip of Meghan McCain on Anderson Live. Meghan McCain has been ridiculed by the Republican Party calling her a RINO (Republican In Name Only) because of her more socially progressive stands (e.g. unflinching support for same sex marriage). It is this more socially progressive wing in their party, that I would like to see start flexing its muscle.

Husbands tells the story of two young men, athlete Brady Kelly and tabloid darling Cheeks who spark a media firestorm when they wake up legally married after a drunken weekend in Vegas. Each episode runs less than 10 minutes. I’ve not yet had a chance to view this series and was curious what people have thought of it.

Will the prequel to Sex In The City, The Carrie Diaries be a hit or a flop? The CW show will debut in January, and to drum up interest they have started to release Season Preview clips on YouTube.
The show opens in Connecticut in 1984 soon after 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw loses her mother. I can’t say that this will make it to my DVR, but I can see the appeal. The trailer recently released makes me think the show which I’d initially thought sounded terrible may have promise.
In light Hurricane Sandy, I wonder if those who are displaced believe Federal disaster relief efforts should be privatized like Romney suggests.

Every day this past week I posted photos of people regardless of where they live, who wanted to show their support for the marriage equality ballot initiative in Washington State. This song has been adopted as one of the movement’s theme songs so I wanted to share it.
