Out to Succeed: Realising the full potential of your LGBT+ talent is new global research that discusses how businesses can succeed in an environment that enables LGBT+ talent to thrive. It asks and answers questions like: What do high potential LGBT+ employees want from their employers? Are businesses delivering? And what more could organisations do to enable LGBT+ talent to succeed? The report also offers five suggestions on how businesses can turn equality into a global reality.
“Diverse stories matter – they’re a crucial part of our audience appeal…the diversity of our programming aligns with our people agenda by encouraging a diverse array of talent to come to Time Warner, and want to stay and prosper”
– Jeff Bewkes, Chairman and CEO, Time Warner
About the research: PwC and Out Leadership conducted a global survey of 231 high-potential LGBT+ employees and 28 corporate leaders from Out Leadership member organisations over the time period of December 2017 to March 2018.

I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.
Provincetown is first and foremost a summer destination, but the town continues to host interesting programs and events in the Spring and Fall like The Twenty Summers Series at the Hawthorne Barn, which will host Isaac Mizrahi and Alan Cumming for an intriguing evening conversation this Saturday.
If this is the first you’re hearing about this evening, then I am sorry to let you know that the event is sold out, but I wanted to point out that there is more to Provincetown than meets the eye if you’re willing to look beyond the tea dances and breathtaking men who promenade Commercial Street.
You can learn more about the recently renovated Hawthorne Barn and their 20 Summers Series at their website, www.20summers.org.
This week I’m featuring the Instagram account of Davide Zongoli, a performer, pole dancer, aerialist and fitness model who is originally from Italy, but now lives in Germany. His body has the physique of a Greek god and he clearly loves the camera – his account is chalk full of professionally taken selfies, modeling gigs with other equally ridiculously handsome men as well as a smattering of posts like this one below which showcase his amazing flexibility.
Follow him on Instagram here, instagram.com/acrodave.

Did you know that the Yankee Cruising Club was founded in 1983 with the intention to bring LGBTQ boaters together to meet, make friends and most importantly get out on the water?
Yankee Cruising Club’s next event is this Sunday, May 19th at the Volvo Ocean Race Stopover in Newport, Rhode Island. If this sounds interesting, click here to visit their event page to learn more.
The social group plans events year round but now that the weather is finally warming up, look for more social programming designed to get out on the water. You can learn more about the group by checking them out online at meetup.com/Yankee-Cruising-Club or on Facebook at Yankee Cruising Club.
I want to feature the LGBTQ groups and organizations that help people connect and enrich Boston’s gay life. If you’d like to have your club / team featured, please email me at bosguymail@gmail.com or via FB messenger.
Later this week there are two events happening that could use your support and are a lot of fun to attend. The first event is on Thursday at Venu Boston and called DUDE ‘N’ DRAG D-SQUARED. The program includes FLAG Flag Football fundraiser to benefit the league’s tournament teams.
The next evening Boston’s Ironsides Rugby club is hosting their fundraiser at Club Cafe on Friday starting at 7PM. I’ve attended this event a few times in the past and enjoy watching these (many for the first time) try their hand at lip syncing in heels. More information is available online at the Boston Ironsides Lip-Sync Competition Facebook page.
Come out and show your love for these two great sports leagues / clubs and cheer on your friends in heels while they lip sync some of your favorite songs.
In one month’s time the Provincetown Film Festival will take place. Sean Baker (The Florida Project, Tangerine and Starlet) will be honored as this year’s Filmmaker on the Edge, and Chlöe Grace Moretz (The Miseduction of Cameron Post, The Equalier and Hugo) will receive the festival’s Next Wave Award.
Wild Nights with Emily, a dramatic comedy about the secret life of Massachusetts native and one of America’s most prominent poets, Emily Dickenson, will open the Provincetown Film Festival. The movie stars Molly Shannon, sharing the poets vivacious and irreverent side as well as her lifelong romantic relationship with another woman.
