America’s most famous gay couple share a rap about how they met and became “roommates” to the melody of Will Smith’s theme song The Prince of Bel Air. It was too cute not to share for all of you fans of Sesame Street.
Anyone who has been to Provincetown has certainly seen one of Tim’s designs. Not only does he have a great retail store on Commercial Street, but his pictures and merchandise are everywhere you look in this tiny town.
Visitors to our home will find one of his designs on our walls and recently Sergio decided to join in on a contest Tim is holding so I thought I’d combine two things I love with this week’s featured Instagram account.

This week is my 200th “Caption this photo” post so I thought I would go back in time to one of the very first photos I shared. This is also one of the most popular posts if you look at the number of comments from when this was first shared back in January 2015.

Published in 1970 I can only imagine this gay pulp fiction novel must’ve been a real page turner (I’m joking BTW).
Quite possibly my favorite bookstore (certainly my favorite bookstore in Boston), Trident Booksellers and Cafe, was forced to close temporarily after a fire broke out in late February, but last week the bookstore reopened after undergoing extensive renovations.
The Trident’s cafe / restaurant was a favorite location of mine when I lived in the Back Bay so even if you’re not much of a reader you can go enjoy some food then check out their monster magazine rack or purchase a few funny cards. Keep in mind, the Trident now has daily entertainment / programming every evening so there really is never a bad time to stop by and see the newly renovated space.
While I’ve yet to have a chance to visit the bookstore I wanted to help get word out and encourage everyone to visit the Trident on Newbury Street between Hereford Street and Massachusetts Avenue.

Despite the warm weather in Boston, Labor Day Weekend is typically the end of summer here in New England. A new boutique hotel called The Revolution will be opening just a block away from The Alise Boston (formerly The Chandler Inn) on Berkeley Street in the South End. The local property company, Mount Vernon Company, announced they will turn the home of the former YWCA property at 40 Berkeley Street into a 164-room boutique hotel, which will be managed by Provenance Hotels.
The Mount Vernon Company initially purchased the property in 2014 but left it alone until construction started earlier this spring. The interior will be decorated with paintings by Boston artists, overlaid with the titles of songs by Boston music legends such as Aerosmith and Donna Summer.
The hotel will offer studio suites for business travelers, as well as triple and quad rooms with shared bathrooms for larger groups. “Premium King” accommodations will also be available with ensuite bathrooms with rooms starting at approximately $150 a night.
The property’s large courtyard is being redesigned to house an indoor-outdoor restaurant with the basement converted into a bar that will double as co-working space during the day. Stay tuned for more details.
I’m finding it hard to concentrate on the coffee and wishing I knew what the rest of his chest looked like. It looks to me like he could potentially be a great furry Friday.
