Tuesday’s benefit has been postponed – More details will follow
Organizers are fundraising to accommodate 32 of the survivors from the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando who have indicated they would like to travel to Boston Pride later this summer to celebrate Pride one year after the horrible tragedy which resulted in 49 people being murdered and 53 wounded.
To make this a reality a Go Fund Me page was set up. The benefit originally scheduled for Tuesday, April 18th at Club Cafe has been postponed but more details will follow shortly. In the interim share the Go Fund Me link with friends to help raise funds to bring these survivors to Boston for a weekend celebrating Pride: Go Fund Me page.
Much thanks to Seduced by the New where I swiped this image from. 🙂

I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.
This week I’m featuring a guy who I don’t know, but I started following on Instagram after Sergio befriended him on FB. This handsome guy calls Brasilia home but he DJ’s in clubs throughout Brasil and has some great house mixes you can listen to on Soundcloud here.

Two weeks from this Wednesday, Boston Spirit Magazine will host their annual LGBT networking night on Wednesday, April 26 at the Marriott Boston Copley Place Hotel from 6-9 p.m.

8-acre cultural playground, opening in South End this JuneMove over Lawn on D in Southie. You are no longer the coolest park in Boston. The developer of the Ink Block announced last week that a new 8-acre urban park under the I-93 expressway will open this June. Dubbed, “Ink Underground”, this previously unused space that extends east from Albany Street to Fort Point Channel under I-93 will include pedestrian boardwalks and bicycle paths along Fort Point Channel, creating a new, active connection between the rapidly-developing South End and South Boston.
Amenities at Ink Underground will include 24-hour security, a dog park, a curated series of pop-up food and beverage experiences, public art walls, sculpture exhibitions and a diverse program of special events (like the one shown below) including a graffiti art festival, an artisan night market and fitness classes. Additionally, a bike storage facility and 175 parking spaces will be located at Ink Underground.
Like Ink Undeground’s Facebook page to stay up to date with programming and events that will take place in this new public space / park.
Come and join me as I cheer on Sergio at his dance performance showcase on Saturday, April 22nd in Arlington. He has been learning hip hop dancing at Boston Mobile Dance Studio through the winter and later this month he will be taking to the stage to show off his moves.
Performances have been choreographed by talented teachers including Carl Alleyne and Chanel Miss 5678 who Sergio has been working with since the fall.
Tickets to the performance will go from $15 to $20 the day before the showcase so if you’d like to join me in cheering on Sergio get your tickets today. I’ve included a link below for you to purchase tickets.
