Flash mobs may be passé at this point, but when you add to the mix drag queens on location at Bondi Beach in Sydney Australia and scores of people having fun on a beach it just seems to work. Enjoy this clip which was released earlier this week by Bright Spark Pictures.
Prior to leaving for Brazil I exchanged emails on Facebook with the new Greek restaurant, Kava, opening in the South End, which I first wrote about in early November, New Greek restaurant Kava to open in the South End.
In November I mentioned the restaurant was targeting an early 2016 opening and in the email I exchanged earlier this month they confirmed that they are committed to a late January opening but a lot can happen in four weeks so I plan to touch base after I return to see if there were any setbacks over the holidays.
One of my readers, Dean, emailed me shortly after my first post to let me know that the owners behind Kava are the same as Trattoria Newbury in the Back Bay and the chef at that restaurant, will move to Kava when they open. However, I’ve not been able to confirm this. I’ll try to circle back after the holidays. In the meantime, anyone with information about Kava can email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.

Sergio and I are in Brazil for Christmas this year where the temperatures are warm and the daylight plentiful. The photograph shown above is actually from 2012 when we were visiting Florianopolis “Floripa” in southern Brazil.
Despite the fact that we are nowhere near a beach (we are in Belo Horizonte for the holidays), we are enjoying every minute of Brazil’s summer.

No plans for New Year’s Eve? The Welcoming Committee is taking all the stress out of planning a night out in Boston to help ring in the New Year by hosting a party in downtown that all are welcome to attend.
New Queer’s Eve as they are calling it will take place at Central Wharf, starting at 10PM. Tickets to the party cost $35 and will include hors d’oeuvres, a champagne toast at Midnight as well as plenty of great music. If you are unsure of your plans, check out TWC’s party “New Queer’s Eve”.
